Spooge is an example that your TBI s are being protected, you want the spooge, embrace the spooge, specialists recommend synthetic oils with a higher flash point in order to keep your piston and cylinder healthy. Tbi is no tpi or carb , it runs way hot than anything before it, it has higher compression , no pressure equaliser hole no more, etc , a lot of changes.

Nice to know your experience as I run premix on my 2022 300 XC TPI (converted to premix) with a Coober ECU and Slavens S3 head. I get spoog with 55:1 when putt putt riding for 1 - 2 hours (slow riding low rpm). Before I was using 60:1 and will go back to this as the sparkplug looked good before. Also I used an endoscope camera to inspect the cylinder and piston's top via the sparkplug hole and took pictures and it was burning nicely.

I have 42 hours on my hardenduro and thought it was a lot but you got 90 already. I love mine!!

I have over 100 hours on my TBI 300 XCW now. I did purchased the delete oil plug but have not installed it...after a full tank of fuel running all day I have about the same sponge as you just showed in the video on yours but with my injection system intact. Also, I just pulled the spark plug and it look really nice, stock plug at 110 hours. These TBI's run super good stock or oil injection deleted.

Awesome, thanks for the update. Are you going to do a top end soon or not until it's ready needed, I know you can often get a lot more hrs out of them if all is good. Cheers

Make a special mixture of premix oil. It consists of 50% Motorex and 50% diesel fuel. Then use that mixture to make the usual 50 or 60 to 1 premix ratio. You get the combined oil + diesel mixture lubricating the bottom end then during combustion, the diesel burns off and the motorex is left to lube the exhaust valve. So you have a premix ratio of 120:1 lubing your exhaust valve and a lot less spooge on your muffler.

let us know how many hours you get out of a top end
@RIPPERTON5 ай бұрын
@@twostroker56 126 hours on the piston but it doesnt need replacing. Rings have 1mm of end gap so needs new rings. 343 hours on the crank.

Looks normal. Just from not being on the pipe all day.

Lol I get way more spooge than that on my stock TBI. The TPS is correctly set and everything

About to do my delete as soon as the reservoir gets low. Do you notice any difference in the way the bike runs after the delete?

Same issue for me and I have not removed oil tank. I assume that KTM delivers the bike with a very "rich burning" map to deter any lean issues coming back to haunt them. Ever time I ride it seems to me like a I have a lot of excess spooge on the pipe end (significantly more than I did with a prior carbureted 300). When you remapped the bike did you notice any difference in spooge accumulation? Also unrelated question what type of fuel mileage are you getting on the stock tank and did you see any improvements with the re-mapping you did? Thanks.

Curious about if the TSP map improved the amount of spooge if you have time

tuning and adjusting for "spooge" is plain stupid.

High octane fuel?

Yes, high octane pump gasoline and Motorex Crosspower 2T at 60:1

@@TokyoOffroad oh, well thats what the manual calls for isnt it? Spooge accumulation is just the result of how you ride unless bike is running wrong which it probably isnt ... kind of silly to compare it between different riders and terrain. I can go on a 50 mile ride and have none, or ride 10 miles and have some - that will be true for any two stroke that runs correctly.
@TokyoOffroad5 ай бұрын
@@constantink3721 - The two stroke oil and ratio can have quite a dramatic effect on spooge. With my bikes I’ve had good success (minimal cylinder and ring wear) running Motorex Crosspower 2T at 60:1, with minimal spooge. Note that I never tune by spooge, always by ride feel. Spooge is what it is after that and as you mentioned will vary depending on the type of riding and engine temp and rpm.
@constantink37215 ай бұрын
@@TokyoOffroad the right mix again depends on your riding style, conditions and sometimes even how old the bike is so... the stock map goes from 50:1 to 100:1, tsp tune injects a little more. xc manual calls for 60:1 so you are just running stock KTM(and most other manufacturers) mix per manual - which is what most 2 strokes want under normal conditions. wasn't sure about the point of this but hey thanks for the video
