On Day 2, our quest to use routes less travelled paid off, as we found some stunning back roads and fast trails through jungle-like landscapes. I would have loved to. But, we were specifically told that swimming isn't allowed here at a checkpost along the route to this. It was important to respect that (even though there was no supervision) so that they will not hesitate to allow others to visit the same place in the future.
