I love the Tolsta Tee. Its a fantastic pattern and she has included a fingering weight pattern now, so you get two yarns weights for that $9. I've knit 4 tees so far.

I love that your branching out with your yarn choices i don’t see many podcasts that work with more affordable yarns. I’m not the greatest fan of acrylic either but mostly all my stash is from Joann or Hobby Lobby and some have some acrylic not only because that’s what I can afford lol but I’m also very thrifty in many areas of my life so it’s natural for me. 😂I especially take advantage of sales. I usually get yarns for 99cents or less than $2 when hobby lobby has their big sales in yarns that not all are acrylic.

Hi Marilisa! I am so glad and not exaggerating, to see you are back with regular uploading of interesting videos! I am also happy to see you using the Lion brand 24/7 yarn showing us a different use for this yarn other than just crochet “wash cloth”. The pattern seams so interesting and customizable. Thank you for sharing with us this beautiful project! Cheers ! Stay cool!

New here. Your channel is so refreshing. Thanks for your explanation of the pattern(s) and your process results. I purchased the Tolsta and now, thanks to you, I am ready to get it started. I appreciate a good yarn be it Indie or OTC but we come for the knits, not to be lured in by snapshots of FOs only to sit through 45-plus minute videos to only hear about their hand-dyed and/or high-end yarns and no real details about the patterns itself. You on the other hand -- brought the tea! Kudos & Gracias!

Beautiful top! I'm knitting with Lion Brand Coboo yarn. Some people say it's splitty, but I've not had any problems. It's soft and a beauty to knit with. I'll use that for the pattern because I love Coboo so much.

Interesting! I had the same experience. To be honest I have knitted with some other yarns that untwist and split, so annoying. I guess is the high twist of the yarn ❤️

I've made two Tolsta's with Coboo and I love them. I also made one with Bamboo-tiful by YarnBee and it is equally lovely. I had no problems with splitage from either yarn.

Hello Marilisa, I absolutely love your Tolsta Tee!! I think the 24/7 cotton DK comes in red, and I'm going to order it and make the same modifications as the one you knit. I'm going to do my best to share the process of knitting it (that will probably never happen LOL) Really enjoy your videos. I have used the worsted 24/7 cotton and really enjoy knitting with that. Love all your makes.

I give you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💪🏻😆😂 Fun as always and love all the feedback. Colour is gorgeous. I prefer natural fibers myself and I’m no yarn snob….. it’s because I haven’t got the finances 😬🤣🤭 but I think I could do posh very well if given the chance!! My lotto numbers are always wrong, it’s so rude! Thanks for sharing, Karen 💕

Thank you so much Karen❤️ I like to switch it up but was asked how much I paid for yarn used for a sweater once. The person couldn’t believe me (non knitter) and asked if all yarns were so expensive. I started a new monologue in my head but if like to mix it up. Damn lotto numbers, so rude 😂😂😂😂

Your energy slays me. This was a very informative breakdown of the pattern/project. Thank you. I have been eyeing the pattern but I've so many projects queued up there's no telling when I'd get to it. Good luck on your journey into finding more affordable yarns. They're out there! Lion Brand and Knit Picks have some really great ones.

Beautiful and you cannot even tell it's cheaper yarn, i love cotton and linen and want my wardrobe to be mostly that so as soon as i stop knitting and crocheting for everyone else plan on someday getting down to business. Now yarn i'm using right now that is cotton is super soft and squishy, it's called Lion Brand Comfy Cotton, and i'm making the Lorelei Tunic Sweater (Kidz) by Deni Sharpe but have changed it up turning it into a little T-shirt and also knitting the bottom rib instead of crocheting so can say for sure it's nice to work with either if you are using a crochet hook or knitting needles. 🌷🌷

I recently had this tee on my needles also so I was excited to hear your ideas as I have watched your review of patterns before. I did a gauge swatch and was only 1 stitch off for width but off for 2 rows in a 4 inch swatch. I cast on a medium also but when I went to try it on at the armhole point, my neck was way too big. I have now ripped it back and will restart shortly. I used a blend of cotton, linen, wool for my summer/early fall wear. I will be casting on less neck stitches and increasing prior to the short rows. Good info here, thanks for sharing.

hi! - so i'm channeling my mom here, who told me, that while they are similar adjectives, there is really a big difference between "cheap" and "inexpensive"...she liked to reference wine... your sweater by no means looks "cheap", or even "inexpensive"!!! i was thinking of you the other day when i started binging my new fav podcast (besides yours, natch) - have you watched 'Mel Makes Stuff'? i started off watching her second-to-the-most-recent podcast titled 'making my dream outfit', which is both knitting and sewing, that she made for her knit city montreal trip. gobsmacked!!! if you haven't watched her, i'm thinking you would enjoy her - her makes, both sewing and knitting - are just sublime. thanks for another great episode! xo from libby in utah

I have the Tolsta Tee pattern. I just bought it. I plan to use the Zooey Linen yarn I purchased last year at my LYS, but that yarn you used looks fabulous! I love the look. Please style it soon as I look forward to when you style your “makes”. On content…. I love your content on IG… everything you discuss is so interesting. As well…. Your makes in the kitchen. Favorites of mine as well. Take care and stay cool. Hugs to the furry friends.
