Tolworth Showtrain 2023 Continuation 1

On the 11th November 2023 I visited the Tolworth Showtrain Model Railway Exhibition which was being held at the Tolworth Recreation Centre.
The exhibition was open from 10 am until 5-30 pm with about 20 layouts on display and also attending the exhibition were approximately 20 trade stands.
As always the level of exhibits on display were to very high standard and the Tolworth Recreation Centre which has been the venue for this annual exhibition for several years now is a good choice with the layouts split over three halls.
The on site facilities were well maintained with tea and coffee plus some snacks on sale in the Croft Theatre.

CLEARWATER HARBOR 1:48 Scale/16.5mm Gauge
CANUTE ROAD QUAY 4mm Scale/16.5mm Gauge

We've just stumbled across your channel, there's some great videos on there. My grandson is particularly interested as he's recently started a channel Dylington Model Railway, featuring his own model railway and some exhibitions and heritage railways. Anyone else spot the elephant on the platform in the Kensington layout? That's a lovely layout but some jerky operation now and again.

The elephant and baby carriage are slightly out of context with the time period depicted in themodel, but this did happen. The Olympia exhibition halls were used as winter quarters for a travellng circus who's train parked up in the rear platform roads. The picture was used for newspaper publicity. This little scene was a present to the layout group.
