Aspinal is the people’s champ, interim champ - but he’s not the “champ” - that’s perfect for the UFC because should he actually lose Jones retains his champ status without ever losing to Aspinal, and if Aspinal beats Periera he just goes back to demolishing 205. I have to say, that I'm very impressed by this guy. Not just the fighter but, the man. He's so down to earth and you can see the humility pouring out of him. I loved his comments on autism and his honesty about not having the experience to speak with knowledge about it. Can you imagine someone like Conor even having that pop into his head? All that even before how great a fighter he is....and he is great!! I think if he gets the chance (and I really hope he does) then, he'll prove that he's the best ever!

Tom is the best HW I've ever seen in the UFC and I've been watching since day 1. He's easily the most dominant. Power, speed, technique. The guy has it all. That "loss" against Blaydes shouldn't be recorded as a loss. It should have been a no contest due to freak injury. Curtis didn't TKO Tom, the ref stopped it due to Tom's knee blowing out.

What are you smoking mate? Tom and Curtis were equally matched until Tom landed a jab that took Curtis off balance, the hook didn't even land. Whereas Paddy completely dominated the whole fight with a far more impressive finish.

The amount of disrespect and straight up autism from MMA fans never ceases to amaze me. Jones has ONE fight at HW, while Aspinall and Stipe have slayed monsters, especially Stipe. The way Aspinall fights with his chin up in the air, I see prime Stipe finishing him like he did Werdum.

Absolute class act. Humble as hell, an absolute gentleman and hard as effing nails. Genuinely think he walks through jones...God knows what he'd do to stipe. Heavyweights should be shouting Aspinall out in the same way all these years people have wanted to fight jones. The fact that Aspinall is such a great guy must make it harder for these fighters.

@@WILLEATSNREVIEWS In some ways you can compare him to Batista even though he's from the wwe.
@bolo51902 ай бұрын
The reason I said he's a unique heavyweight is because he's the total package, he's 6ft5 and for most of his matches he weighs 260 except his last one he lost 10 pounds. He's got great speed, agility, footwork, fight IQ, he's a very high level striker overall with ko/tko power and he's a very high level grappler/wrestler with submission abilities but he rarely has to show it because he's finishes the fight in the standups and very early too.
