Thank you so much for this comparison! I have been staring at the Tom Bihn website for days trying to determine which would work better and magically visualize the difference. This video worked much better than that did!

Whenever I watch y'all do these types of videos I'm so happy to find that I'm not the only one who enjoys new bags and the imaginative functionality of new pocket spaces, etc. 🌈

I have had my 25 litre synapse for about 6 months now, I love it! I have the cache for my macbook, a snake charmer pouch and a spiff kit. Everything from Tom Bihn is such good quality, it's great to know I have it for life now :) Thank you for so passionately sharing about your bag, it was a big part of me finally biting the bullet and purchasing from them after a year of deliberation!

Watched your original Tom Binh video last year before going to Thailand. Great review and the reason I chose Tom Binh. I went with the 25L for 3 weeks in Thailand. It was glorious travelling so light. Thanks for your reviews. Great videos.

Yay! I'm so glad that you enjoyed that review! And that you had such a great 3-week trip there! I can really relate to how great it feels to travel light!

I bought this bag and I was disappointed by how small it is, I can't even fit my laptop or water bottle in it. If I could go back I'd definitely get the 25L like my boyfriend. I'm happy it works for you though Brittany!

It's only 6 liters difference, but it seems like so much more. I swear that Tom Bihn Bags are somehow bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. I started with the s19, but I found it wasn't never quite big enough. I got an s25 second hand and it's a bit bigger bag than I really need, but I absolutely *love* it as an every day bag for myself and my 4 year old. I can fit a whole bag of groceries in the main compartment, put it on my back, and then help my kid up the stairs to our apartment. When we travel, it'll easily fit a couple packing cubes of clothes and a small toiletry bag. Tom Bihn bags are VERY well made, made in America, and the company itself is just awesome. They're not cheap bags, but they will last for a ridiculously long time. Ebay is a great place to find a less expensive Tom Bihn bag. A used bag will still have a ton of life left in it :)

Yes! I totally agree about the bags being so well made and having more space than one would think. Tom Bihn is amazing. I love that you and your 4-year-old are rocking the 25L. That's such a great way to use the bag space.

What about comparing with the synik 22? I m a woman. I feel like the 22 liters is a good volume and not too big. But it seems heavy and maybe not as optimized as the synapse (19 or 25).

I love how passionately you talk about your backpack! 😊💓They look so neat! I've even seen on their website that you can customize it (you can add a hip strap fe) which I think is awesome! I currently have a kanken as my daily and travel bag for week long trips. It's great! I just wish it had a hip strap .. although it's 17l? It can get pretty heavy. Will definitely keep the synapse one in mind for when mine needs replacing 😃
@BrittanySTaylor7 жыл бұрын
haha, thank you. I am quite passionate about it. Yes! It's so fun that you can customize. The kanken is a great bag! I love that it's 17l and so simple. I can imagine it getting heavy and wanting the hip strap.

I've got the 25l but would love to downsize to the 19l. When I'm travelling the main compartment is pretty empty (The same eagle creek half size packing cube, a small toiletries kit, small laptop, hoodie). Until I add food... (I'm a hungry man haha). It's the one thing I haven't seen you mention in your packing videos, and it doesn't look like you have much room to play with. Where are you packing all your travel food/snacks??
@BrittanySTaylor7 жыл бұрын
Yes, I can so see the 25L being great for food and snacks. I also am a big fan of food. Usually I have two reusable stuff sack bags overflowing with fruit ;).

Brittany Taylor can you make a video about why you choose to carry your food separately as I’ve also wondered why you have such a tight filled bag without wiggle room for anything else - especially food when you eat such a wholesome diet.

Thanks for the review! Yours and Connors Clips won my interest for a synapse. I have a bag (30l but seems to be nearly same measures) but the synapse seems to be more what i am looking for in a bag (organised)... its just pricey and i need it to be delivered to germany... so i am checking out clips to see if its worth it. Your clips really help! I am 5'10 tall and not a light traveler like you and connor so i think the 25 would be a better choice for my daily commute and my days where i need to sleep somewhere else. As i read on their page your 19 and 25 are 2 different materials...Which one would you prefer? To me the material of your 19 looks better.
@BrittanySTaylor6 жыл бұрын
Aw yay! I'm so glad that you found this helpful! Yes, it sounds like if you want some more space the 25 could be a good choice for you! I like both of the materials! Conor's new bag (the 25L in this video) is a nice material- durable and waterproof. I recommend either! We also just got an affiliate link, so if you end up buying a bag and want to use it, feel free (it's linked on this page): conorandbrittany.com/recommended-products/ All the best to you in your packing journey!

so originally i was looking into buying the 25L untill i heard about the 19L because i’m only 5’5 and liked the idea of having a slightly smaller bag but my laptop is a 14” and therefore i’m worried it won’t fit with my sleeve over, also i have a smaller city bag i use for the odd hike but it doesn’t fit like an A4 size folder which means i can’t use it for work or my laptop so essentially my question is does the 19L fit an 14” any where near comfortably and an A4 folder for like paper. any help would be great

Can you compare the fabrics on these 2 bags? My understanding is that the fabrics with the lines are a lighter material than the ones without. Is this correct? Do they feel significantly different?
@BrittanySTaylor6 жыл бұрын
Ooh great question, thanks for asking! There is a bit of a difference - yes you are right on with your understanding. However, I feel like overtime the 25L material will become a bit more worn and lighter, as I remember my bag feeling a bit stiffer like this when I got it.

Out of concern i will like to ask do you wear sunscreen because you have a lot of spots on you since your quite pale you might have a higher chance of getting skin cancer from the amount of sun light your expose to

I want to live out of a pack like you and Conor. I just donating some clothes to a thrift store. Why keep clothes that you don’t wear. Even though I’ve been donating clothes I still feel like I have way to many clothes and shoes too. I think I have to much stuff even though I’ve been donating things like I said before. I want to live a simple life like you and Conor and I want a relationship like yours too.
