there's a lot of chatter that that was scripted which if you heard about some of the event circumstances might make sense. Robert Kraft wasn't going to come to the roast because in roasts typically nothing is off limits. The word on the street is the organizers promised Kraft that they would put jokes about him off limits so he agreed to come. But you had to know that none of the comics particularly would stand for that, so one wonders if the bit was put in there so that Tom could claim no culpability for allowing that with proof saying he stood up for Kraft by ordering it stopped.
