He truly is the greatest athlete not only because of how he is on the field but his off the field behavior too. Early on in his career he realized that he need to change his lifestyle in order to play the game longer, his discipline to keep limiting his food and acitivites in order to be his best on the field, he saved his money well despite getting pay cuts to help the team and he clearly adores his wife and kids.

Basically Tom Brady grew up in the SF Bay area watching and idolizing Joe Montana and I feel he was deeply influenced by him . In my opinion Joe was easy going and soft spoken and never bragged when he won and was humble and never made excuses in defeat. I think Tom Brady is following the former greatest clutch Quarterback in his footsteps.

The Patriots have a system that Bill Belichick created much like the 49ers did under Bill Walsh and they used Joe Montana then Steve Young to win titles.. ...they (NE) have players who perform at a high caliber over and over and over. The offensive line is HUGE and protects him. I mean how the heck to you get around these giants?...Listen, I'm not knocking Tom Brady because he runs that offense the way it's designed, but let's be brutally honest, he has benefited from the rules that protect QBs from enduring the physical beatings that QBs of the past endured...and some of them won titles too... Other than that the guy is clean cut...just goes out and performs...When he retires, I'm not sure who will step in and if they will be able to continue running their offense.
