Smart investment for Tom. Birmingham is a big city and a well known club with a lot of potential. I can see the appeal. It seems like more of a "business trip" though. He's Tom freaking Brady 🐐. He's too busy to be there all the time. But it's good to see these iconic American athletes supporting football. This is great for the lower leagues and building relationships/attracting investors etc.

The NFL makes more money than the premier league. A starting quarterback makes anywhere from 20 million to 50 million dollars a year. The league minimum is 800,000 dollars and there are 80 guys on a team. Yes. Soccer is overall more popular around the world but it's far from the most entertaining. First off it is primitive. More like a proto sport than a real sport and secondly they let big money buy the championships. In North America the playing field is leveled with drafts and salary caps resulting in much more parity. So this guy won numerous titles in that environment unlike Messi for example who played on an all star team his whole life.
