They had been ravaged by the Saints in very un-Patriot fashion a few weeks earlier, and Peyton had moved it up and down the field on them. This was not the Patriots defense of 2001 or 03 that confounded Manning every time they played

The 03 AFC championship is a critical game in NFL history. After the New England secondary took liberties with their physicality w the colts receivers, the Colts brass and Manning would complain about itto the rules and competition commitee. Later on that offseason, the NFL "emphasized" hitting defenseless receivers, DPI, and Defensive Holding. This opened the passing game up in the NFL for the rest of time. The very next season Manning would go on to set a then record 49 passing TDs in a season.

many have forgotten that, before Brady, the patriots were one of the worst teams in the NFL. Made the playoffs 10 times in 40 years, won a playoff game 4 years out of thoses 10 times, lost 2 superbowls. Since Brady left, they lost both their playoffs games and now have fired Belichick
