THIS.....IS SOUL! I could dance to this ALL NIGHT LONG.....The original and this extended version. This is by far the BEST version of the extended versions. I remember when the rep from Arista Records dropped this gem off at our Radio Station. As soon as I heard it, it went right on the airwaves....We pushed it until every Black radio station in the Northeast and in the country was playing it.

I always enjoyed this hit song from 1980. I was still living in north Texas when this was released. It definitely was quite popular there on local radio stations, specifically, in the Dallas area. Houston radio stations played this, also. Significantly, great play, and memories with this deep classic !!!

The final piece of this puzzle was vocalist Toni Smith, whose vibrant vocals resembled Chaka Khan which led to a lot of confusion when record buyers asked for "the new Chaka Khan" tune. To give the song more energy, the group developed a rap and it included the party sounds of many of their neighbors in Jamaica. *Toni Smith (Thomassina Carrollyne Smith) who performs lead vocals on this recording in addition to receiving co-writing credits on this tune as well as Thighs High sadly passed away 28 January 2020.
