After Conviction, Double Agent hits a little differently.

"My God, Fisher! Have you gone insane?" As he always said in Splinter Cell 1. He then really went insane.

I was 12 years old when I played this part. The emotional breakdown I experienced when I played this episode is still the same years later. I am 27 years old now. This series has always been special for me. Thank you for everything, Ubisoft. For me, the finale of the Splinter Cell game is the double agent game.

Our Double Agent story no matter what team we choose gets retconned... Lambert's Death is cannon it seems... I would love to see him alive in Conviction and our choice kept.

Knowing that Sam had to pull the trigger on Lambert hits so hard. He had to kill Lambert in order to stop John Brown's Army from taking over NYC. To be fair, Lambert would've greenlit his own demise to save the country. Sam's rage during the Third Echelon HQ mission in Conviction is just years of pent up guilt and frustration. One of the few moments Sam was deservedly emotional.

@@rockzen8050 At that point there was no reason for Fisher to maintain his cover as he already knew what the JBA plan is and where all the bombs are. That's why the police were able to raid the HQ. This choice only made sense in version 2 which is not canon.

Even if they wanted Splinter Cell as a franchise to continue, Conviction at the least should've been the last game for Sam Fisher. The sharp left turn the narrative took with Double Agent was intriguing at the time, and Conviction gave it good closure. I'm not even salty about the voice acting changes but the fact he just went back to being an agent in Blacklist made zero sense for a man as broken as he was portrayed in the 2 games before.

Blacklist should use Meggido storyline if they still want use Sam as main character.
@CaptainFoxerАй бұрын
@@ban66a1 I honestly found it baffling how they did the entire setup with Meggido in Conviction and then didn't do anything with that plotline in Blacklist.

In all fairness i never got over lambert's death, he didnt deserved it. And as much as i appreciated Sam's daughter to be actually alive, i really hoped that Lambert somehow managed to survive like beign resigned and hide by the government or stuff. Poor man

Lambert had to he had no choice, Williams blocked all of Lambert's access and the NSA was down Lambert's throat for even pulling a double agent mission... You must remember the Third Echelon was a a trial startup for the NSA since Splinter Cell 1. Lambert took it too far. NSA must protect america from itself too.
