Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York is a new narrative expansion to The Division franchise.
New York, where the events of the first Division game was set, is under threat of a new, devastating biochemical attack. While The Division was answering the distress call in Washington, D.C., Aaron Keener, a former Division Agent turned Rogue, has taken control of Lower Manhattan and is manipulating the factions of New York with the help of dangerous Rogue Agents. As society rebuilds on the ashes of the Black Friday outbreak, in Keener’s eyes, so do the binds of authority that burden it. Armed with a new strain of the virus that crippled the world, Keener intends to unshackle society from the establishment. Despite numerous remaining threats, The Division’s priorities have changed. The expansion requires Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 base game to be accessed, which is included in the Warlords of New York Edition and Ultimate Edition for new players to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Owning Warlords of New York includes the option to create a level 30 character, allowing players to jump right into NYC and start the hunt for Keener. Warlords of New York has been thought of as an encapsulated narrative experience from the start.
NEW YORK MANHUNT
The only way to stop a city-wide bio attack is to hunt Aaron Keener down. But to get to him, Agents first must get through his close guard of Rogue Agents standing in the way. Once trained by The Division, each strayed for individual beliefs, only to regroup under a common banner held by Keener.

crafting a good story is hard, so I'm glad the time was taken to continue the story. Although I think Lau should have been saved for a later date maybe even Div3 if that would come about after this game.

They mentioned in the announcement live stream that the division 2 update system had mostly been shut down or retasked to other games. Most staff had moved to other projects aswell. It took a long time because they had to train new staff, use another studio that had never used snowdrop (the divisions game engine) and had to learn how to do things. So it seems division 3 may originally have been, at least in part about the fate of Faye Lau.

What a wonderful transition between Kelso and the Statue of Liberty, love the insinuated meaning behind the visuals, that's such a clever way of showing it. Overall, the whole video told the story in a very efficient way and the concept imagery was lovely to look at.

i am still not sure about keener dying, I feel like the mastermind himself wouldnt be defeated so easily by some agent, it would be nice to see him again in div2 or div3 or hearthland (like hornet also didnt die in division 1 and was a manhunt in div2 so what do we know if keener is really dead)

@@Daemon1995_ It was developed by Theo Parnell in order to allow Keener to create his own network of rogue agents. It was already in action during the main campaign. Basically, it's an Anti-ISAAC, that hacks his protocols and allows to control the Div Tech.

If the Division is supported by ISSAC which is signified by the yellow watch color, ANNA is the AI who runs the rogue network under Keener, and that's when the watch turns red

There is a great opportunity to make a huge DZ with this new arc. Have the new True Sons, who are now a nation wide threat, shell a large area with DC62. That would create a DZ like the virus did in D1. There could be extraction objectives, rescues, and other game modes in this new PVP area. To make it simple to implement, have agents fly in (like we did in survival) so it doesn't need to be connected to any of the current maps. I'm not a PVPer, but I could see this being a good story opportunity to give the playerbase the DZ they've been wanting.

There really is a lot of potential for DLC now. Massive is hiring and expanding their current Division 2 team. I think an NYC expansion with a DZ is well in order and not too far out of the question. Even though, nothing is confirmed DLC wise, I really do believe we will see another DLC in the future. [Hoping it's a map expansion of D.C or NYC]

I honestly believe division 3 going to take place in San Francisco and it’s going to cost big money for the company to make San Francisco amazing. However, they making a mobile game which should help the company to get started for Division 3 on 2023 maybe, in December we get the release date. For the record, I never actually 'killed' Faye, the artillery from the drones did that. And she was listed by ISAC as 'Incapacitated'. As for President Ellis, I never liked the guy to begin with and the only thing that really upset Me about that was how I never got the opportunity to 'adjourn the meeting'. Furthermore, what's this about Agent Kelso being the most broken up about everything? She's always been a Siamese and a Tabby short of a bag of Cats, IMHO.

Now I don't know about you but I don't think people would come back for a worse than the division 1 survival. Reason 1: It’s not as good so there go expectations.
