I googled around and judging from the episode plot, I'm pretty sure that this is Season 4, episode 8 called Ace of the Space Lanes broadcast on February 5, 1955.

Early 50s tv is amazing…the pioneers of the new way of entertainment…much more costly than radio plays…but…the sponsors paid the way too 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊👍👍
