16:02 to hit the cushion so far from the pocket and still go in, that is ridiculous

Why not play a defensive opening shot like in snooker?

@@andreimarincas2826 so you don't need to have greta position on the first shot. If you make one you have plenty of choice of balls to pot. Whilst on snooker you have to guarantee position on a color. Plus, in pool you always have to open the pack in order to pot all your balls. You just don't have the table size to open the pack, as well, as you can in snooker and your balls are mixed with the oponents. Basically, you want your game to be as spread as possible to increase the chance of a clear out. In snooker you want your game (in a early stage) as tight as possible to not fall to the other player.

Cousins definitely got lucky there. Didn't deserve the win with how he played most of that.

It was called the Pockets Pro Series but they ceased in 2023 because they were losing tons of money.

@@SpazTheGamer Yeah not easy to turn pool into a commercial sport. Ultimate Pool did a lot of things right, from the commentators to the social media presence (short form and long form), getting the snooker players involved etc. It was always going to be a massive uphill battle in Australia. Not saying it's the main reason why they failed, but people always underestimate how important the commentators are. A single, very charismatic commentator can carry a broadcast. You really need professionals not just a couple of bogans X) Pockets Pro did do _a lot_ of stuff right too through, maybe they would have gotten there if they'd had a large enough influx of cash to survive long enough for momentum to build.
