Tom Cunliffe dresses his yacht overall for the Queen's Jubilee

It’s the last day of Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrating 70 years of service to Country and Commonwealth. As a mark of respect, I’ve dressed my ship overall in a foreign harbour. I’ve been so amazed at the reactions that I decided to make a short video about dressing ship. Enjoy it, and do visit my website afterwards to find out about my online club.

I don't think I'll ever again be able to say 'I did it right and Tom Cunliffe did it wrong' so I'll take my chance now. I really think the right way to do this is with your own signal flags rather than a made up string. We did ours for the jubilee and it looked fantastic. Great satisfaction in knowing we'd made it up ourselves too!

Well done Tom, I was away from my boat so I dressed my house and the church yard flag pole. My flags are individual and you're right they take a while to put together. However, they allowed me to spell out 'God Save The Queen' from the apex of the roof either side to the garden fence. The rest went in no particular order in the church yard. A very good celebratory weekend, God bless and Save Her Majesty The Queen. Yours Aye, Buster.

Where exactly were you in this video Tom? It looks like the West coast to me. If you find yourself on the east coast, and into Nynäshamn, it would be a pleasure to meet you and extend some hospitality from a fellow Brit, I have 7 metre aluminium cabin boat with a 250 evinrude if you and the wife would like a fun run out in the archipelago it would be a pleasure to give you a tour in exchange for some of your stories!

Meanwhile my Aunty with her 1.5ltr little car and her 1 bedroomed flat, has to choose if she should heat her home or put inflated gas priced petrol in her engine... 🤔 Guess she's paying for Charlie boys 'climate' agenda...... Meanwhile Queenie has all her lights left on in her 78 roomed mansion, her fleet of cars rolling through London, and, not to mention Balmoral...... I guess her friends with yachts get a free pass too hey??? Are you joining the dots yet.... Told my Aunty to turn up the heat and just keep driving.... The bills will come but she'll send them to Queenie, I'm sure the " sweet little old lady" who has been screwing the country for 70 years has a vault with some extra pennies... Hmm, i think you need to read a dictionary before using words you don’t really understand. Patriotic it is, but dressing a ship is hardly exaggerated or false but a normal old tradition. A normal man dressing his ship in no way signals patriotism in a warlike manner or aggressive foreign policy I don’t think Tom has that kind of clout.
