I'm sure his dad was watching over him as Tom was diving during the Olympics. And it's safe to say he would have been immensely proud of him. Just because someone isn't there in body doesn't mean they're not there in mind and spirit. Tom would have been thinking about his Dad in his final seconds before the dive I'm sure. Well done Tom and rest in peace Rob -3

Hey, give him a break! At 18 years old with a bronze medal, he's incredibly talented. Also, he was allowed to repeat the dive because the judging body decided there was sufficient amount of flash photography, which is banned during dives, to disadvantage him. Tom explained in an interview that the flashing lights disorientate divers which they do. Please don't undermine such a young athlete with so much talent.

Plus - the referee could have refused to allow a redive if he felt it was unreasonable - but didn't. The other competitors could have protested if they felt it was unfair - but didn't. Enough said, I think.
@maisydaisyx12 жыл бұрын
uh whats with all the haters it doesn't matter if he didn't get a gold and he did amazing to get bronze - we're all so proud of him. Stop complaining and being negative towards him i'd like to see you dive off a ten meter board without ending up on a stretcher!

Don't know what the problem with an Olympic bronze is. And for the record he would still have got it even without the redive as he was WAY ahead of the Russian guy on points. Check the marks if you don't believe it. All the top three dived fantastically and all deserved to medal.

He was complaining about the flashing before the scores were even announced. With or without the redive he would have gotten bronze, and you're just making yourself look like an idiot because you clearly know nothing about what happened. He deserved his medal 100%.
