“Not to bad for a couple of grape pickers” is the most powerful line Ive heard from a Mexican American as my self. My great grandparents immigrated from Mexico to Indiana where they would pick cherries for cents on the dollar. They would tell stories of how disrespectful people would be towards them saying go back to your own country and calling them racist names to try and demoralize them. I am proud being a Mexican living in the best country in the world . I just wish sometimes people like Tom Flores and my grandparents would get more respect for their character instead of the being treated indifferently because the color of their skin and their accent and last name being different…

I'm 56 yrs old, a huge football fan and loved watching the Raiders back in the 70's and 80's, especially when they played the Steelers. Man, football was the greatest back then. While my favorite team wasn't the Raiders, I respected them just the same. Loved watching Ken Stabler as well, he was a great QB and then I saw Howie Long. I miss the old days of the NFL, too many rules and changes now but the memories will always be there. I got teary eyed when it was announced Tom was going in the hall. Tom should've been inducted into the HOF a long time before now. I'm glad he's finally inducted. Congratulations, Coach, it's well deserved but long overdue.
