Ed III was very weak as an analogy for GWB. Bush was a cowardly little sadistic worm, basically the character Percy in the movie "The Green Mile." It's weird that Aaron McGruder thought a character who's super into hip hop and personal danger resembled someone like that.

Kind of on the nose metaphor for the whole Iraq conflict. Even the phase the store keeper says: "your father helped me build this store" is a reference to president Bush seniors dealings in the middle east (more in Saudi Arabia than Iraq honestly) then the younger generation of Ed (bush junior) insisting that the shopkeeper of terrorist descent was holding a weapon. Plenty of allegories in this episode.

Now I'm not saying it's always gonna work but I've been told since I was 6 years old (I'm 23 now) about never committing crimes or you'll go to jail and be raped and I've never committed a crime.

All it took for me was to watch _Oz_ when I was a teenager. I still did some dumb teenager things, but nothing too crazy. Plus, where I'm from, innocent people that look like me were always getting locked up back then. Still do, but I do live in a much better neighborhood now. The cop is the USA citizens. They’re falsely accusing the store owner that he has a weapon just like usa gov saying sadaam had weapons of mass destruction which was a lie, they just went there to destabilize the government and take oil

Not so much white ppl, it’s imperialism though it’s mostly used by white countries. But ed and Jim are the governments tricking the populace (the cop) into believing that their are enemies far out that they can’t understand and capitalize on that fear and ignorance of the public to get them to follow along. And then cry terrorism when they start fighting back, and the whole “can’t criticize a robbery” is an allegory for you can’t criticize an active war until the war is finished then you can blame the perpetrators, because to do so early on is to be “unamerican” and “unpatriotic”
