He has worked on so much, and with so many excellent artists, he seems to be in the back of everyone's mind for something. What a blessed, lucky, talented man. I just watched a clip from that episode. What a riveting, albeit frightening performance! I've never seen Tom Hanks play an angry, defeated, flawed person (that wasn't played for laughs) before. He can play dramatic roles, but he's never leaned so close into "bad guy" territory, at least I don't think. Hanks is one of the all-time greats in the field of performing arts.

Love Marvel movies,but Hanks doesn't shine in films made for parents and kids. His voiceover work is a different story, with Nemo and Toy Story, but he's best in Americana movies with grown themes... Captain Phillips, etc... My favorite Hanks role is in Catch Me If You Can.
