This was me in first grade. I’d make myself sick many of the days just so I could go home. I refused to eat at school. I lost all my appetite. I lost all muscle tone and weighed 45 pounds at age 7. I was terrified to be away from my mom. It’s so heartbreaking now to see how sick I was. I still battle anxiety and now with me being a senior, college is getting closer and my separation anxiety is bound to come back, but now I know how to tame my own worry dragon after doing it in first grade.

same, I don't miss my mom when I'm at school. but from 4 pm to 9 pm okay that's WAY TOO LONG. I would cry bc i miss her. then i stayed with my sister one day with my niece and nephew. refused to go to my house. wanted to stay with her. i have a fear of being alone

I have seperation anxiety.. Ever since childhood I always had a hard time going to birthdays and events... I would often skip sleepovers because I would just lay there crying and wanting to go home. In fourth grade I skipped scool a lot because I couldn't handel the anxiaty.. Now I'm 14 and I go to scool everyday and attend sleepovers... I still get anxiety but not as ofen as I used to... Trust me, it gets better.

i’m 12 years old man you got any tips ? every time i leave my mom my anxitey rises .
@hitmanhart6702 жыл бұрын
@@durkisssss sorry to hear that, it is very tough to deal with. The best thing you can do is if a negative thought comes in your head while your mom is away, instead of letting it take over and make you feel worried, you should question whether something like that can really happen. I used to worry that something bad could happen to my mom (like get into a bad car accident) or that if she was gone for too long that meant she left me forever. If I really thought about I would have realized that fatal car accidents are rare and that the idea that my mom would run away is preposterous. But I know you’re young and it’s hard to really confront fears that way. For me as I got older I started thinking more rationally. If your school has a psychologist or social worker I would recommend trying to talk to that person about your fears. They may be able to help you deal with the negative thoughts and fears. Hope things get better for you

The #1 reason regular panic cures don't succeed is because they never educate the individual how to stop the fear of fear, instead they teach you to ‘cope’ with the problem. For stopping panic and anxiety attack completely, you must stop the fear of fear.
@vasumatilapre33711 жыл бұрын
Please provide me that solution. Thanks for your time.

Vasumati Lapre Hi friend! I agree with Takwesha! It's true! panic attacks are a big joke and should not be feared! :) Did you know panic attacks has a weakness? A weak spot? Like a boss in a video game! And once you learn what that weak spot is, then silly mr panic attack loses all his powers! We recently uploaded a video that shares how you can overcome anxiety and panic attacks naturally and forever! We hope it helps! God Bless!

Can anyone help? This video certainly did not. I want to know how to stop separation anxiety. I am 11, and every time I go to school, I cry when I get on the bus and in school. My mom was the only one who raised me when me and my brother was little. Nobody understands it, though. Someone please help! School starts at the end of next month, and I am going into 6th grade in the middle school. So of course, a new school is scary! Help!!!!

I was the same way. I had separation anxiety and social anxiety since I was a child. I'm still afraid to talk to strangers at 18 years of age. I had no help or treatment from psychologists with mine. My mom knew something was wrong with me because I would cry every single day at school with no apparent reason. It does get better though if you realize your own strengths and slowly make some friends. It's never too late. I didn't even BEGIN to overcome mine until I was 11. I've come a long way since then.

if some of your feelings belong to 'a worry dragon' from an early age, it's called dissociation and may lead to schizophrenia or at least some serious emotional issues..

I was diagnosed with a severe case of this at 2 and a half. They just let me keep my security blanket with me all the time at school and even now I have found ways to cope. I'm 14 now and although I made adjustments it's really not that big a deal. However, sometimes it's difficult for me in school. Leaving teachers I trust for a new grade can cause me a lot of anxiety and sadness. But in the end, it's not so bad once you find your way to cope

Even though I am older, I have separation anxiety disorder. I also have severe anxiety. I have a hard time leaving my mom because I never know where she is, if she is well or what is happening to her in that moment. My dad dying is the cause of this, and I am extremely clingy to my mom because I do not want to become an orphan and I never know what is going to happen to her I also never know if I will see her again like the kid in the video. It is a horrible disorder and I know what it feels like to have it so I will always be sympathetic to those with SAD and anxiety.

This video is ridiculous! For someone with real SAD like my 9 y.o. son, a brief logical conversation like that with him would only make things worse. That’s the problem- the rational part of your brain is not in control when you’re about to separate. To call what this boy has SAD is not correct. He may have an anxiety issue or separation issues, but not true SAD.
