I have really low hopes for this show that will replace Muppet Vision, especially after the whole Splash Mountain retheme. But not just with the parks, aside from Inside out 2, Disney has released bad movie after bad movie, costing them hundreds of millions of dollars. The entire Disney company has been going downhill since 2019, they have gotten lazy and they have forgotten their fans.

Disney is going downhill at a rapid pace. They are shutting down everything that isn’t an E-Ticket attraction to make room for more E-Tickets that are IP based and specifically IPs that are currently popular with toddlers on Disney Plus. Disney only cares about the bottom line anymore and sooner than later will loose the last piece of good faith their die hard supports have.

But it's hard to stop caring about something that's been a big part of your life for so long. My sister lost the ability to see in 3D as a child, and spontaneously regained it as an adult one day in the MuppetVision theater. Not in a doctor's office or an operating room - it was Jim Henson and the Disney Imagineers who gave that back to her. It broke my heart to hear that it was being scrapped. If there is any scrap of a soul left anywhere in the Parks division, they will at least consider every practical possibility for rebuilding the attraction somewhere else.

Tom - The Muppet's was one of my dad's favorite TV shows over the years. When he lived here in Florida from 1993-1995 he would always go to Muppet Vision 3D at least once a week if not more. One of my last memories of him before he passed July 13th of 1995 was going with him on my birthday on July 5th to watch this great 3D show and see him laugh/cry. Ever since I moved to Florida in 2017, I've tried to see Muppet Vision 3D every time I've gone to Disney Hollywood Studios. I will miss the Muppet's and the magical memories of my dad's favorite Disney's Muppet Vision 3D. So sad......

When the "love letter" documentary to Jim Hensen was put on Disney plus, I got worried. Save his project somehow. It is a treasure.

Ooh why were you worried? Don’t reckon the documentary was part of a deal to get the Henson company to support the changes?

Ironically I was the opposite! The documentary gave me a false sense of security 😂

@@melinafiol I can see that, too.

I think the theater move promise after villains move out is a superb idea. I also think they could expand on the show by offering the original MuppetVision as the default, but add shows for holidays like Halloween, Christmas, etc. A variety of shows could keep things fresh and exciting.

Tom, if you have to explain this to Josh D'Amaro and Disney, then the wrong people are leading the company.

@@WDWNT That's the problem - we keep settling for devils. I closed my wallet a while ago.

Thank you, Tom. Part of the responsibility for the legacy is also creating Muppet experiences that are accessible to guests of all ages. I am a thrill rides person and I look forward to the RNR re-theme, but families with kids should have a Muppets attraction. Putting MuppetVision 3D in the space next to RNR makes perfect sense and would ensure that families and those who don't like coasters can experience the Muppets. PS - my dad is too elderly now to go to WDW but I will never forget years ago how he laughed so hard at Rizzo the Rat saying, "Hey, kids, welcome to my park!" You know, because that's funny as hell.

Rant on, Tom. Muppet Vision forever!

To Tom, the entire WDW News Today crew, and all the viewers: I think it’s time we show just how much the Muppets and MuppetVision 3D mean to us! Let’s make a statement by wearing green ribbons on our shirts and lapels as a visible representation of our support and love for the Muppets. If we can get as many people as possible heading to the parks, on youtube, and wherever to wear a green ribbon, we’ll send a strong message about how much we care about preserving this incredible piece of Muppet magic. Let’s unite and show Disney how important the Muppets are to us!

Really good rant and I agree with you completely Tom. I'm glad to hear that Rock n Roller Coaster is getting the Muppets retheme but MuppetVision should at least be relocated.

I feel like they need to keep the Muppets showing until the ENTIRE rest of Monstropolis is built. There is no reason to wall off the entire area, for what will be years before this land is completed. At that time, they can close Muppets down to the new Monsters show. When they do that, they can move Muppets 3D over by the Muppets coaster. But, it seems like the thought processes at Disney these days, don’t ever make sense.

I'll do that for Muppet, Tom. I'll let them know it shouldn't go away, but I'm gonna keep doing it for the Rivers and Tom Sawyers Island over and over again too. Being a cheeky person aside, I will be sad when all of it is gone. Just hanging out in the area and looking over to the brick facade of Pizzerizzo always makes me smile and I'll be insanely sad when that's removed.
