Baby, When Aunt Ree did CALL ME, from the same special - she killed it

She killed this special!!! Her performances of “I Say a Little Prayer” and “Call Me” on this were some of the greatest vocal performances of all time🔥🔥🔥🐐🙌🏾!!! Her outfit was inspired from her admiration of Queen Nefertiti! Rumor has it she didn’t want to do this special. Please react to her sing “Reach out and Touch somebody’s hand” live at the montreux.

Aretha Franklin > The greatest female R&B, Blues, Gospel singer , ever🎤💕 in my opinion Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸

I think this was her best performance vocally on this special. Call Me, Say A Little Prayer and The Party is Over was a vocal master class. This performance was just a warm up compared to the other stuff she sang.

I remember when this aired on TV in 1970. What a powerful performance!

She made Tom Jones sweat! Back in the days when Queen got up from the piano on Spirit In the Dark she was going to lay everybody out!

Tom Jones was a big fan of R&B music. He made it a point of always doing a duet with many of the best singers of that time. If you were someone known for having a great voice or considered a great singer, Tom Jones wanted to sing with you.

Aretha Franklin's performances have always been at 200%. Her singing with Tom Jones was good. He had the right sound and energy because, when you go sing with Ree-Ree, you gotta BRING it! Love the whole performance! Those background dancers were killing me softly though. 😂

Please review her performance of call me from this special! ITS A MUST!

Tom Jones often featured blk artists on his show, and he was one of the few white singers who would sing with black singers, which was rare in music since white artists are told you will get crushed if they sing with blk artists. Tom was one of the few white singers who could hang with black singers, which makes him a true gift

True, Aretha wanted to study classical piano.

Why does he keep skipping over viewing & reacting to Amazing Grace live in 1972? I'll keep bringing it up until I see him review it on this channel.

Copyright possibly.

@@KajiVocals - Nope not at all. If that was the case then 90% of the videos he reviews would've been removed by KZbin long ago including the other Aretha clips he's watched. Other people here on KZbin have watched and reacted to the Amazing Grace performance. But I think what happens with this guy is he only does a reaction video if several of his followers request it. And from what I've noticed I'm the only one who keeps requesting Amazing Grace. But it should still count for something even though he never responds to his followers comments

Tom Jones definitely tried "to hit it" after that show performance with Aretha lol! Aretha "politely declined," as the Queen of Soul... but if you don't think that he didn't try it... you a lie! 😆 (All in fun family... all in fun)!

Don't make fun of the dance of the 60s and 70s now. lol No seriously, dance has truly evolved hasn't it?
@floydfelder3580 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think he was making fun of the dance back then, I believe that he recognized that it was an awesome time for soul music and dance back then.😂😅😊❤
@billyjenemusiclover6678 ай бұрын
That is truly a matter of opinion! Some might say that dance has devolved! Tina Turner and The Ikettes were dancing to 'Proud Mary" during this same era and sending both men and women into a total frenzy!!
