3:35 I believe his point is that people put him on this pedestal...and fail to relate to him as a fellow human being...these songs are his therapy and his cry for a connection with other people who vibe with his authenticity...when people talk to Tom they tend to make the interview about themselves and how Tom's music effects them...but they rarely make the interview about...the real slim Tom...if you pick up what I'm droppin:)

Yeah - I always appreciate TOm's honesty - he will drop a track like this for the fans when he's struggling (and I think mostly for himself). I remember watching fake fans, and needing to step away for a bit - made me question how I interact with the things I am a fan of. Stung, but it helped me grow and changed my perspective. After a few days away, I decided to take it back to the beginning (through Too Lit's eyes) and react to all the tom Macdonald videos in order. Can see how he's grown, but also fights much the same demons. The bitch of depression is the lows can come at any time, and when they do, everything can seem pointless. Best thing for Tom right now, is Tom to do Tom. He'll know if its better to take a break, or keep working (sometimes the distraction is actually BETTER than breaking and being alone with one's thoughts). Its been a month and a half or so, so hopefully he's been able to ride it out through Christmas. Person first - hope Tom gets well. Thank God he's got Nova, and that right now the best support any of us can give him is space and understanding to work this out, along with thoughts and prayers.

I got stabbed a couple months back and I've been struggling with depression since then. before I never had mental health issues but now I understand what's its like its not fun. lucky for me I dint get stabbed alone and my buddies are working through it with me and were getting better every day. but the first couple months when I was relesed from the hospital were a struggle. god bless u tom.

I know what you're saying, BUT this is NOT made to be a cool video (even though it is) or show progression, Tom feeling like this, being transparent and open enough to show the WORLD what 99% of artists try to hide is admirable but also heartbreaking to know that Tom has said that he's been feeling like this ALOT in the last year! The reason his Albums were late dropping this year was because Tom was in a DEEP DEPRESSION for 5 weeks, Nova had to call his doctor for medication for Tom! Tom is getting better musically for sure though!🙏

When you say they remember Nova only shot the interior scenes! Any external scenes in the video were done by Dave McDonald (Different spelling many miss) whose a close friend of theirs, Nova face times him and directs Tom from home like in past videos during the pandemic for her safety with Nova's severe asthmatic disease! They've done this for past videos like "Cancer" hospital scenes and the "Music Industry" and 1 or 2 more as well as far as I know?!

This was my favorite song on his new albums because it felt so raw. I can't relate on the same level he's on, but the feelings he's describing are what it's like to have depression. People will say things like "You have so many good things in your life, just be happy!" but no one that's said that has ever experienced true depression. There's no switch you can flip to just smile and look at the bright side. Your mind is constantly correcting you, pointing out all the things that suck, why you'll never be good enough. It's human nature to focus on the negative rather than the positive, but depression takes that to an extreme. It's not just sadness, either. Anger is often a big part of it. You go through all the stages of grief at once, and at all times, because what's died is your potential, yet you're still alive to watch everything go to sh1t.

My comment to Tom ------- Damn bro, I felt this at a visceral level and was brought to tears, for 2 reasons: 1st: because I don’t enjoy seeing anyone this depressed and I wish I could do something to help 2nd: because I’ve been there, not with fame but feeling that I failed my wife and 4 kids. Thinking they would be better off if I was gone is a very bad place to be.
