rap is the same old played out store that they flip, mix, remix, extend. no true lyrics as they just repeat the first fool before them. So I just look them up for Instrumental beat. No Lyrics needed.. But Tommy MacDonald, man its killing my speakers on 35max.. This dude is hitting it on the head.

Small town Canada here and I've heard of people who beat each other up and get in gunfights over their choice to wear red or blue bandanas. There REALLY needs to be a separation in music and reality. They're artists, creating a narrative or using words to paint a picture. It's not an instruction manual to life people! Although stories do inspire people, but that's where common sense comes into play. You've got a good point, don't copy what the song says.

Tom MacDonald is what the new generation needs but funny thing I now live in a smaller town and I feel so out of place out of all the places I've lived the only place I really fit in and feel at home is the hood lol I think part of it is I've never really had a problem in the hood I get along with every body it probably has a bit to do with how I look sound and carry myself I've found if you walk tall and don't back down from anybody no body messes with you and honestly I've found more friendly accepting people in the hood than I have any where else I don't know if the fact I'm 6 foot 5 280 pounds has anything to do with it but I've only ever been messed with once in any hood I've live in 3 guys attemted to Ron me I knocked out the biggest one and the rest scattered if I had it my way hood but my fiance doesn't wanna live in the hood and I completely understand why and I love her to death so I'd do whatever for her it's just even though I'm white I've never really got along with a lot of other white people it's mainly cause I grew up in a lot of hoods so naturally i look hood and most other white people judge me and assume I'm dangerous or I'm a thug but I'm actually one of the nicest people I'm a big teddy bear who would give someone who neede it my last dollar and the shirt off my back

I know a couple guys that came from the hoods of New York and New Jersey, now they live in Western Pennsylvania, and they've been saying people out this way are accepting of you regardless of your past, for the person you are and who you've become now. They said they've never felt so at home before. We gotta stop judging people based off stereotypes and see the person behind it. That's why I like Tom, that's the message he speaks.

I get as an adult that it easy to say just separate the music from reality but the problems run a little deeper then that when we consider the fact that the people most caught in the rap trap are young black men who most likely don't have both parents in the home because black dads are the predominant victims of racially charged busts or are murdered by the police or other people that are already cought in the trap so young black moms are usually focused on running the home trying to hold down one or more job so these kids pick the role models who got out and unfortunately at least from what I've seen in my life there aren't enough black Male role models who didn't do it by glorifying the thug life for these kids to see every day and music and videos are what teach kids how to be successful in life and until we can tackle the issue from the top down nothing will change even with powerful voices like tom trying to clean up the game

Plenty won't care for my long novel, but I just got something to say about dream cars. I encourage dreaming and definitely accomplishing those dreams. I use to dream about a particular car. But, I think it's unrealistic to dream about a Lambo or Ferrari or even a Corvette. Dream small, then when you accomplish that dream, dream bigger and so on. I had a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville for several years and I was so happy with that car because it was a clean car, had some descent power and it wasn't a piece of shit. I also had 2 12's in it and it pounded! Then, when I got more money, I got a black 2010 Chevy Malibu and loved it even more and I put 2 12's in that trunk! It pounded even harder. I loved having that car. After a couple years of the Malibu that I loved, I finally traded it in for my dream car. A 2014 Camaro SS 1LE in June of 2015! So, when I got it, it was only a year old with a measly 8k miles on it and it was amazing! For me, this was THE dream car! Ever since I saw the first Transformers movie back in the day, I wanted a 5th gen Camaro and after several years, I got one! What have I done to it in the past 3.5 years? I lowered it 1.4" , I put 2 12's in it with 2,000 watts, I put a Borla exhaust on it and most recently I added Kooks headers. This is what dream cars are all about. Going from normal car to normal car to a very attainable car and then modifying that car to your vision of what it should look like. I assure you it turns plenty of heads and I get compliments from little kid to old man. You don't need an exotic car to be happy and turn heads. If you get there, more power to ya. But, I assure everyone, you can be happy in a sports car for a regular Joe. FYI, I was a meth head for 10 years at one time in my life that has now been clean for 12 years this summer. I'm proof that you can do anything you want as long as you keep the dream realistic and go from there. Also, because I've made my Camaro so much faster than stock, I had to buy a 2nd car to keep me from getting in trouble with the Camaro. What did I buy? I bought another 2010 Chevy Malibu for my everyday normal vehicle. People can see me in my Malibu and think whatever they want. But, I know I have a sick af Camaro sitting in my driveway at home. I have some videos of it on my channel, FYI.

I think a big problem is kids are so sheltered while they are you young. You can't shelter them forever and eventually they will find that content on their own with no one there to explain to them the difference of fantasy vs. Reality. I might play Eminem or whatever around my kids but I take the time to explain the metaphors and when hes joking or being sarcastic. Now they know to look past the music that they hear and take it for what it is, entertainment.

There are a lot of "big problems". My biggest issue with the problems is that the adults my age (40) blame the "kids these days". Apparently everyone forgot their own youth.....my own fucking sister has apparently forgotten 99% of her teenage years. I remember ALL of the horrible shit I did. My sister can't even talk to her own kids about suicide as she thinks "talking about it is the problem". She blames marijuana for shit it's never been proven to do....AND she is the person that got ME high for the first time. She's only two years older then me. She doesn't remember that she got be two bottles of "Boones Farm" as a graduation from junior high present. I don't know how it's possible to forget everything you did wrong but she pulled it off. (She's also full MAGA-team too........I have no fucking idea) I'm literally at a loss. You can blame part of modern problems on the parents/society influence on the kids today, probably almost all of it.

That's because allot of the rappers in these new age raps are doing what they talk about. they believe there own hype they live there own hype. Difference between them and us regular people is they can afford to do it with no repercussions because no one gives a fuck if they don't go to work the next day.

We can’t keep supporting artists who are preaching bullshit to kids. That’s the problem. I’m glad you are intellectual enough to not drink lean... kudos. But, the problem is... kids follow idols. When we support drug-addicted rappers, we are giving them a platform to promote BS to children, who will take it as facts. We need to start promoting classic hip hop. Words with a positive message behind it.

Well most artists can only write about what they know and now the gangster rap well a lot of the rappers did do that at one point in their lives like gang banging and selling some drugs from weed to crack and partying and having sex with a lot of women and calling them bitchs and hoes that is a reality like Jay-Z and fifty cent and ect ect and then there's rappers who are more creative with there music as well like eminem and other's that I can't think about right now and then there's the rappers who rap about their problems like NF and Tom MacDonald like I'd said everybody writes about what they know and that's their culture and whats in their life from people to things and then there's the mumble rappers and the rappers who just try to rhyme everything together even if it doesn't make sense dude

Well good for you and not doing stuff by peer pressure but me unfortunately I'd did some stuff when I was younger like weed and cocaine and I'd also did lean and I'd didn't like it tried it once and was like hell no and the same with the cocaine but the weed is the only thing I still do because it was the best thing that happened to me it helped me out medicinally a bit and out of all of the drugs it was also the best high being mellow and chilled and now it's the best thing to relax after a long days work I'm a industrial roofer and it helps with my arthritis and it's a plant that grows naturally which means god put it here for a reason and I'm for legalizing it for medicinal reasons and how much it can help people from mentally and physically problems from seizures to fibromyalgia and crones disease and many other ailments that pills don't help

Peter MacNeill never tried lean, but I've tried coke and a few others, never liked them, but as with you, I stuck with weed, got me off my ADHD medications, and I'm a manufacturing technician, I deal with presses and dies and also program industrial robots at a stamping plant, all while high at that, helps me focus, so I don't see anything wrong with smoking weed

Here's my thought. Yes SOME drugs are shit (like meth, heroin, and a few others), if you have an addictive personality and are prone to a stimulant, depressives, or etcetera then yes you're prone to become a drug addict. However with that being said I think exposing yourself to these with an objective mindset and good friends will grow you as a person. ESPECIALLY the drugs that make you hallucinate. We dont fully understand drugs, and its effects on the mind and soul because of the prohibition. There are too many instances of religious experiences thanks to drugs. Especially psychadelics. I understand that you're preaching a healthy lifestyle, and I respect that, but I beg of you do not dismiss drugs and their possible benefits because of a predetermined sociological viewpoint of it.
