I'm 53yrs old Welshman and i've been into heavy metal since i was 9yrs old (1979) ie Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and then Metallica mid 80's i love them all but when it comes to arguing between fans it's fucking clown world just chill the fuck down or join together. But I've been listening and watching to Mr Tom McDonald my heavy metal days is on the side taking a rest because this Unique person is singer, rapper,entertainer and a awesome streamer when i listen to this man i don't want the music to stop because he sings what he sees and he doesn't give a flying fuck alot more men like him we need on this crazy fucking planet. Nothing will ever prevent me from enjoying art that I like even if the artist does and says things that I fundamentally disagree with because that artist is not changing anyone's minds who already don't think like them. They actually never had anyone show vaccine proof or anything. They literally just had to make that rule so they could play at the venues. Rage against the e machine has always been far left, probably a lot farther than you might like. I’d recommend doing some more research on each member or just politics in general lol.

I'm glad you pulled Metallica into this. From Puppets, to Justice, to the black album, they had a strong general anti-machine theme. Whereas RAGE seemed to harp on specific moments in time. Rage was definitely more active in protest, but I don't feel like their focus was on all government. And now, I don't think you can be 100% pro-vax and still be anti-government.

As artists, won't lie, I hear their tunes on the radio, I still turn it up and sing along... Their social and political views suck. You don't have to like an artist to like their art. If we gauged everything this way the world would be boring as hell. There will always be some cast and crew member you won't like... and that's fine. You’ll casually catch Tom morello at any major union event or protest. Zack even spent time in the Chiapas with real Zapatistas to support their movement. They’re often trying to make bigger change than simply being present on social media, which is why have the band doesn’t even have it. Do some research on what the members do outside of their music, it’s pretty interesting and admirable.

That doesn't negate the good actions he's taken. It also doesn't make U2's music any less iconic or they any less talented. Same for Rage doing what you've said, but then openly supporting Communism in Cuba, promoting BLM riots, COVID lockdowns, and the Bidens. We can agree that Communism in Cuba is hurting more people there than it benefits, no? BLM riots hurt more than they benefitted right? COVID lockdowns seemingly did nothing but make Pfizer billions of dollars at the cost of everyone else. The Bidens have brought more issues than resolved (leave team think out), correct? One's social and political views may have no bearing on the results of personal actions or choices, and vice versa, but it's all facets of who you are. Life is more 3D than "this or that" thinking. To quote Kanye West, "Hitler did more good things than bad," which is true technically, it just so happens the handful of bad things he did were really bad, and got millions of people killed. Some would argue that outweighs the multitude of good things he did since it ended on that horrible down note. Yet there are some who, ironically, still see the good and would contend he did more good than bad. I'd disagree having been raised by my grandparents that escaped Nazi Germany for the US. Personal perception of these things has a lot to do with one's own walk of life, choices, and life experiences. It will vary from one person to the next, and we will never agree 100% on these things. And that is just fine as it is, we don't have to agree on everything... I'm sure I've said a few things you may disagree with, and we could debate those things all day and likely not find common ground. However, if we met each other on the street, you might be the coolest person I ever met. It's just one of those things that is...
