I think the Eminem line was more about pointing out that Em used to be a "Rebel" and counterculture but now he is pushing the mainstream view. As you said, it is just the truth. I love that quote! And certainly some people are like this, perceiving themselves as morally righteous arbiters of good, but a lot more of this, I guess you could call it a sort of 'collective psychosis' almost, seems to be making these ideologically possessed people far more common than they would otherwise be. It feels all very coordinated and insidious. I can't remember it off the top of my head but search "KGB defector Yuri Bezemonoth quote on demoralization" (I probably butchered his last name there lol). I'm with you on that. I'm 48 and haven't watched the news in years. Back in the day the news was a service that the major networks provided to their customers in a fact based one hour segment three times a day. Now we have 24 hour news networks that have to compete for ratings against all the other networks. Facts doesn't make money. Controversy and social turmoil does even if they have to fabricate it to promote it.

When you said "as long as you're not doing anything to harm me or mine, then we're good" we have to think about what's really harmful. We live in a society where media, music, cartoons, etc.. plant seeds of appropriation in our minds and in the minds of the easily influenced youth. It might not seem like much at face value, but one of the biggest problems facing America today is subliminal messaging. Teaching children to hate their country and to no longer uphold the values that make this country possible is harmful. Planting seeds of sexual appropriation amongst the youth is harmful to the moral of future generations.

And because of those harmful messages, parents need to get their crap together and raise their own children instead of happily letting TV and public school teachers do it for them. I'm blessed enough to be able to homeschool our boys without much financial burden as a result (if I worked, I'd only make enough to pay for daycare anyway, rendering the idea pointless) but there's plenty of parents out there who DO make the effort to reshuffle their daily lives in order to actually parent their own kids while still earning a living. "If there's a will, there's a way" type of thing. As a whole, I think our society's priorities are way off, and it shows.

Tom made #1 on itunes, AGAIN! I love that he is seen as controversial for speaking the truth. I think it's more so because they expect anyone in the industry to conform to a certain set of beliefs. Being independent, Tom can touch on topics that most wouldn't think of because it would get them "cancelled". Tom, & Nova, must be protected at all costs. They are such great artists & need to be allowed to speak their truth.

This past summer I was in class to get my concealed carry permit. There was a cop in my class. Hadn't been required to qualify with her gun since academy. She thought because she was a cop she was exempt from the accuracy portion of the test. Nope. Turned out she could barely hit the target at 21 feet. Talk about lack of training. Meanwhile, I was bullseye after bullseye, but I spend a good amount of train. If you are required to carry a weapon as part of your job, you damn well better be proficient with it, or you could be putting innocents lives in danger. Family friend was killed by a stray bullet in a police shootout, and he was on the next street over.

I agree 100. As a former cop, I was trained you never aim your gun at someone fleeing unless you think they might kill someome else. I was trained violence is the last resort and I stuck by that. I never fired my wepon and some of the stuff I've seen is horrendous. Its awful out there. Black and white cop crime.

Totally agree with you about officers getting double the penalty. They represent the law and should be held to a higher standard. For a comparison. I drive a tractor trailer for a living. When I drive my personal car, I'm held to the same standard as if I were driving my truck. If I go out drinking, I can't drive. My limit is .02% blood Alcohol level. So even one drink puts me over the limit depending on how long until I drive. If I have a light out on my personal vehicle, I'm most likely getting an actual ticket. Phone in my hand driving, my fine is between $1500-$2500 depending on location. This is my profession, officers should have the same style of fines held against them. They choose to uphold the law, they need to lead by example. And be charged accordingly. Thank you for this reaction and allowing me to rant for a moment. Everyone have a blessed day!

Tom really speaks the facts. i am a "cop" in Germany and we are trainees for 2 1/2 years. one of the biggest problems the police in america is the training. when you are trained enough you can handle some situations diffrent.
