Love old Tom too! Thanks 🧡 Much Love! #Hangovergang #Wannabe

This is from when Tom was an alcoholic and hitting the drugs. Tom knew this was not his path and it’s not how, as he says; “… how I wannabe.” In 2016, Tom had a mental breakdown, contemplating self-deletion on the daily. After 9 months, he came out the other end, sober and clean. Now he raps what’s in his heart. It’s what he can stand behind, ten toes down. #hangovergang forever 🤙🏽

He had a breakdown at some point after this. Came out of it 8 months later sober and with a new vision for his music. Positive with a message.

His mental break down was right around the time that the video for "how the west was won" was filmed.

This song breaks my heart every time. To be in such a dark place resonates with me. I am so grateful he was able to fight for everything he has become. It’s inspirational and makes me want to keep fighting too. HOG 4ever 💖

God Mode, is a treaty and introspective on where Tom MacDonald came from. He wrestled with ECW and WCW for 10 years, and battled from the bottom up with addiction, and homelessness.

This is before Tom had a breakdown from living the lifestyle, he changed his ways and direction of his music. Dear Rappers is where he announces the direction of his music and why. HOG in the UK

Tom has even earlier videos that cant be seen on KZbin anymore but this is the earliest on his KZbin for sure. He has grown and matured but I agree the talent has always been there.

This may be the first song that's on KZbin but he has many albums before his first KZbin video. Dope stuff indeed

You need to check out his trilogy "Hour Glass" / "Who I Am" / "Bout It" from 9 years ago with his best friend Brandon Hart .

Personally, I count the Tom journey to legitimately begin at Dear Rappers. Anything before that was decidedly "before" he had his turnaround. 😢 Please check out Sober.

You went wayyyy back lol Dear Rappers would be a good one next. But I’ll admit Wheels Keep Turning is a great song about PTSD. Intense video. I’m not a big fan of his old stuff except those two songs. It gets better from Dear Rappers.

His pre dear rappers stuff is pretty good but definitely a different side of Tom. It was all before he got sober and realized the direction that he wanted to go with his messenging. Leading up to dear rappers, you start to see a slow change to the message and eventually you see the full flip.

Hi Teddy, liking you reactions and don’t know if any other way of messaging you but have you checked out Ren yet? I would recommend Hi Ren as that’s the song that blew him up. He’s different and should be protected at all costs like Tom

Did you know he served in the military, I thought that was pretty cool. I looked it up because of when it said he got back from doing some tours.
