Another set of haters when Tom gained traction besides the Eminem and woke cancel culture crowd were KZbin reactors that also used their channel to promote their own raps. Crypt was a friend of Mac. They got butt hurt and envious. They would do reactions to Tom for their views, then give unfavorable reviews, but not outright trashing them. Stay his content seemed cringe or cornny, but never totally trashing it because the revenue from increased views. That's why differentiates himself as not being a KZbin rapper. There is a whole beef with Mac Lethal and Tom! Mac responds with “Single White Female” then Tom comes back with “Mac Lethal Sucks” and really goes destroys Mac!! This was just bait for Tom! Tom said he didn’t like the way it made him feel and swore to never do a dis track again! And so far he never has dissed anyone by name. A little background on the Mac beef: It all started with Violent J's (ICP) messages flirting with Nova and RA being friends with Mac saw it as an opportunity to bring Mac's name back into the limelight though that's def not the light he ended up under. It took him to a dark place and he won't put himself there again. The Cliff's Note version of the diss battle goes: 05.24.19 Tom releases Straight White Male Mac Lethal sneak disses Tom on social media (Tom was coming up and had never battled before, Mac Lethal was established as a rapper and going after a 'little guy' or so he thought LOL) 06.01.19 Tom drops a bait track - Lethal Injection 06.05.19 Mac Lethal's response - Single White Female 06.07.19 Tom's 2nd track and the murder - Mac Lethal Sucks diss #2 Mac Lethal never really responds to this and he ended up cutting off his comments then eventually removed the song from his YT page (but you can still find it on YT). There's a song Mac released months later but it doesn't have much of anything to do with the battle. Tom would later drop I'm Sorry, No Response, Don't Look Down, and God Mode as clean-up for the ones who didn't get the message you don't mess with Tom. 😉 After God Mode, Mac dropped another diss, 5 years late and reusing the same tired arguments. Ok, so I know you reacted to Tom and Nova's video Straight White Male on Lboyd's channel, which was one of his satirical songs about social issues. Apparently, as usual, it received some backlash because Tom's videos are often before their time (too conscious for the fans to feel) because he's a real artist, and a lot of people don't get that. Dave decided to start talking about Tom like he didn't exist. I don't think he expected him to not only reply (which caused him to back-pedal) but to keep receipts and clap back in a very epic, creative way. To me, this seems like a dope example of f*ck around and find out and really demonstrates who has more of a forward-thinking mentality in this scenario because Tom and Nova trolled him with this bait track which "triggered" him into responding emotionally, imo. Then, once he took the bait, Tom and Nova went in for the kill, and a lot of people do believe that WAS the funeral for Dave. Obviously, it's up to the listener to decide who they think won, but Tom is way more famous/infamous now (independendently) than Dave ever was, and he has a lot more love/hate from the people than Dave ever had.
