I remember being back in college and having a group I hung around with that was stuffed full of every type of person. A bunch of races, sexual orientations, we had transgender people, various religions, you name it, they were in this group. And not a single person in that group gave a crap. Not a single crap. the thing i think about is this. music whether be metal or rap back in the day they were forms of expression. even now music sends a message to today's youth. whether glorifying gang life or drugs and alcohol, talkin bout fkn hoes or just violent ciminal activity the stuff you hear on the radio and tv do in a way effect your outlook on life and on people. i love tom because he's talking about social and political issues he raps about stuff people these days don't wanna hear and it's sad because his message is profound and real. he's not feeding us a fantasy he's giving us as listeners a lot to think about. rap n metal were always used to send a message and some artists forget the impact they can make on a generation just from what they talk about. music can bring you up or destroy you, comfort you and teach you. and i personally feel music these days has become less about the message and more about what sells
