I prefer his last album for his raw emotion. The vocals where so intense and filled with so many different emotions and although the last album may be more depressing, it was truly a work of art. I love Tom for his vocals and for his piano playing which is what the last album was all about. I like how he has changed it up with this album but I'm just not digging the songs as much. I love concrete in terms of his live performances as they are more acoustic sounding along with songs such as Constellations, Somehow and his acoustic version of Magnetised are magnificent but I just don't dig the more techno, heavy use of instruments used within his songs . I still love the other songs such as Wrong Crowd especially its live version but I'm more of an acoustic lover when it comes to Tom. His voice and piano playing has not being used to the full extent in this album so far which I wish it had but nevertheless it's still beautiful

Its so rare that a musician gets overnight success. Its almost always a combination of really hard work and someone giving the musician a chance. However, getting noticed doesn't always work because if an artist is just copying a sound then no one cares. I have studied a lot of musicians and most of the successful ones truly don't care about fitting in and just love making music. Tom is like this and it shows. I love the concrete stutter line at 2:45. It reminds me of 'My Generation' by The Who, stutter lines, but less rock and roll, smoother, more sexually charged kind of song. Love both, but it's great to have Tom Odell making the music industry, more about music and less about industry.
