Married 40 years this June, and this song moves me to tears.. Growing old with someone you've known this long is a privilege and a gift. We've had our dark moments, of course we have, but the day I walked up the aisle I knew I'd met my match. Good luck to you all seeking 'the one'. Don't try too hard is my piece of advice 😉 Beautiful song Tom ❤️

We all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for us, so that we may have everlasting life. Now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and you will you be saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read Bible, pray for Jesus to reveal Himself to you and change you, seek to do what is right according to the Bible. Much love and God bless.

I know this music video is based on "A Swedish Love Story" but I really want a modern film that is this music video. It's the greatest music video I've seen and it captivates me every time. Imagine an in-depth film using these actors and this story line. They have a young relationship and they fall in love but other people disapprove. It could go into real depth about how they met and the relationship. She gets her friend to tell him that they can't see each-other anymore and he rides off. She sees him on his bike later and comes to the realisation that she loves him and nothing should get in the way of them being together and growing old. She wants to spend the rest of her life with him by her side but it doesn't go the expected way. The moment she said they shouldn't be together completely ripped him apart an broke his heart. She let him down. She was all that he wanted, all that he cared for but she betrayed his love. When she runs at him, he thinks of the heart-break and the pain and he just can't take it. He is broken beyond repair and he rides off in his bike and never comes back. They both grow old but not with each-other. She spends her whole life thinking about the one that got away and he spends his whole life with a broken-heart. That's my interpretation of the story.
@mariascofa9 жыл бұрын
+JoeMTaylor33, but at the same time actors from old movie have played their roles really good (especially for their age).And I like this music video too. But when I saw that act with the bike in the original movie againI felt that strong differences in acting of this two girls. Actress from the movie gave that special feelings of first really important relationships, pain, etc.And it is interesting to watch even in adult age;It was nice movie. Although nobody can give a guarantee  that new version will not be ''juust another teen movie''. So maybe it is not such a good idea.

@ДарьяКуликова-щ7с6 жыл бұрын
Powerful voice + soul-touching lyrics + wonderful melodies = masterpiece I'm sure, Tom Odell is one of the best vocalists in these times, his golden voice live is unmatched, his sincere videos are so well prepared, their lyrics are magnificent, deserves much more recognition, it is so absurdly for artists who have talent but are only commercial have hundreds of millions of views and visits, while artists like Tom Odell deserve that and more. Tom's music makes me miss the lover I've never had. The only word that comes to my mind when I think about T.O. and his music is "ART' The thing I love about TO's voice is the fact it's real. It doesn't sound like all of those in the pop industry. Don't get me wrong, they can sing, but their voices are too perfect. Tom's not perfect, raw voice( as I said like crystal) is perfect( bad pun intended, but true)

Heard this first on a UK Tv advert, To be honest I thought it sounded a bit like A sleep at last as the voice is quite similar, Great track and video. 2.13 a real beauty.

I just discovered this guy and he is amazing!!!!!!! His voice is like heaven. Also love the way he grips the piano at the end as if this song gave him pain as well. If someone sang this song to me I would cry and never let them go.

I can feel you breathing With your hair on my skin As we lie here within The night I'll pull the sheets When it's cold on your feet Cuz you'll fall back to sleep Every time Grow old with me Let us share what we see And oh the best it could be Just you and I And our hands they might age And our bodies will change But we'll still be the same As we are We'll still sing our song When our hair ain't so blonde And our children have sung We were right They'll sing Grow old with me Let us share what we see And oh the best it could be Just you and I And the hairs they stand up And my feet start to thump Yer the feeling is dreaming Around You'll be the one Make me hurt, make me come Make me feel like I'm real And alive Grow old with me Let us share what we see And oh the best it could be Just you and I Grow old with me Let us share what we see And oh the best it could be Just you and I

I watched this video like 10 times, and I just discovered this song few hours ago. Already into phone and one of my fav songs. This really gets me feel that in this society you can see your loved person, but see doesn't mean receive and have. However, this is a montage, really well made, but to think that this happens a lot, don't receive love of who you love is really sad. Tom, please, make new and more songs.

Me and my wife found Tom Odell when we watched the Blacklist series. In august 2015 we got married .. our friend sang this song for us in church. Still happy married..but a big house and two sons added in our life.
