I began listening to Tom Odell’s songs last year. My first song was Another love because it was (and it still is) his famous masterpiece. But then I found all his albums and… OMG, they are just wonderful! They’re not worse than Another love but practically nobody knows about them. Actually, that sucks. My personal view is that Tom deserves more ❤️😌

I'm 41, and I find the older I get, the harder it is to be excited about new music. Chemically I don't have as much going on in my body and my head as I did 20 years ago and I mean that both naturally and unnaturally. So when a song makes me feel young, and alive, and remember why music connects us and makes us feel alive it should be recognised. This young man is a class act, and this song is genius.
@jmmacb035 жыл бұрын
I am 61 and I think it is just we know how a song can change your life-and how decades later you can still tell the temperature it was when you first heard it-usually in a basement or in a car. Anyway, we didn't have a video with the lyrics! And we paid for it!

Cold hands, white light Yellow lamps on blackened skies Duffel hoods and deep brown eyes I'll sing you a song that I think you'll like And we'll walk the places we always go A million faces I don't know I'll say the words you'd always hope sets our hearts racing Even though I know what you told me I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling Every time I run, yeah I keep on falling I know what you told me I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling It's just every time I run, yeah I keep on falling on you On the way you stand On the way you sway The way your hair curls in the rain The little lines that write your face Or the winter nights, you'd come and stay Or the way you hit me when you wanna fight The way you yearn, the way you cry The way our love rolls with the tides But we know we'll make up every time I know what you told me I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling Every time I run, yeah I keep on falling I know what you told me I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling It's just every time I run, yeah I keep on falling on you Oh, won't you bring me all the things I need Like falling rain to a rolling sea Oh, won't you bring me all the things I need I know what you told me I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling It's just every time I run I keep on falling I know what you told me I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling It's just every time I run I keep on falling And I know what you told me I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling Every time I run, yeah I keep on falling And I know what you told me And I know that it's all over And I know I can't keep calling Every time I run, yeah I keep on falling on you

It was 4 years ago, I got into my friend's friend car, my friend was just playing with his phone, and as soon as I heard this melody coming from the car I knew it's this song, and I asked isn't this "I know by Tom Odell?" And his eyes sparks he was so happy that there's people out there that appreciate artist like Tom Odell and I have the same feeling because I've recommended this song to too many people and not much of them like this song. And because of this I became more close to my friend's friend instead. Time flies, Got into uni, got a job in China, he also gets a job overseas. My gosh, I wish I could find a musician boy who cares for me like Tom obviously did for the girl he wrote this about. It's not like I couldn't love someone who wasn't musically inclined, that's not the point... I just feel like anyone who writes lyrics as tender as Tom's would be such a beautiful soul. It's so rare to find people who are willing and talented at expressing their vulnerabilities, being honest with themselves and others about their feelings. I've found the one I've waited for, she is my world, she is my weakness, she is my strength, I love her so much, because she is the reason why I am human. she isn't perfect to others, but she is perfect to me, and I would do anything for her. I think there's a happy tone in it bcause odell is reminiscing his memories of his girlfriend. U know when sometimes u laugh at your old memories. Well, its the same. I think it is in the part 'the way your hair curls in the rain' n 'the way i yearn, the way i cried' n he is also happy knowing tht he will still fall for her n he knows that they will work it out again. N another love is another different story. Just my thoughts :)

Is is bad that every time i pay attention to the meaning of the video i want to cry deeply? Oh the best line in my opinion is "deep brown eyes" like i'm hiding something or because i just have them..

I love Tom Odell so much!💜; he has a lot of talent, and he composes in a beautiful way as well! He brings me back to when I was in 2nd grade of middle school; I always listened to his music ✨, and no one else liked him, but I enjoyed every song from him!🎹
