Daddy saw him live. I just lost him yesterday. My dad was 67. I'm going to miss him so much. Petty was his favorite. Dad was a surfer growing up in Southern california in the 60s and 70s. Now he is surfing 🏄 a big wave in the sky. I love you Dad.

Love this song. I'm actually incorporating the song title into a tattoo I'm getting tomorrow in memory of my sister who was a huge Tom Petty fan. She passed away in May and I know she would love it. She is "into the great wide open." Rest in awesome, Kim Rossi Nov. 16, 1971--May 12, 2020 A rebel without a clue.

Willing to say- One of the best MTV vids, ever! omg. Was J Depp ever that young?? 😄How did he transform into an old pirate?? 21 Jump? Anyone?? Glad I watched it in 2022, because I thought Winona played his hot gf. In the vid. Would have swore up and down that Depp and Winona were in the same vid. How funny is memory?

Found my old cassette at my parent's house 25 years later which got me interested in his music again . Bought Wildflowers CD on Amazon for $5 and I think it's actually better than Full Moon Fever. Amazing CD!! Then he passes away. I think his music will come back in popularity by the younger generation I really do.
