Amen, what he said. I liked Tom Petty but didnt love his stuff. I didnt listen to many of his albums and was pleasantly surprised by some of the songs that didnt make it to the radio. Like this. Before just a minute ago I didnt know it even existed. Any friend of Gram Parsons' is a friend of mine. Miss you, Tom.

Tom Petty could have had a whole other career in country music as he got older. Too bad there wasn't more of him. I miss him tremendously.

Wonder what Gram would think of the attention he is getting?

He'd love it! As Emmylou has said, he deserves it.

Mike - the one nugget I’ve been diligently searching for is the performances from the MusicCares tribute to Tom - specifically Randy Newman performing Refugee. As you continue finding nuggets, hoping you stumble upon that one. You are doing God’s work - thank you!!!

9 days after the Loma Prieta earthquake - must’ve come to Tom’s mind with that line about “this old earthquake…”. Another great find!

Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman wrote this song back in the early '70's

Your content is amazing! I love the little I’ve heard of the Bridge concerts. I’ve never heard this tune nor concert. Discovering any new Petty music is amazing, especially acoustic. I enjoyed this and am excited for more, thank you for sharing!

This is great. I love the few times I have heard Tom do country. The only other example I can think of is The Damage You've Done from the Playback boxset.

Whereas Chris got it started one morning, woke up Gram, and they finished it quickly. Genius!
