Actually, the most boring unboxings I see are the ones where the creator takes 10 minutes to blabber while we stare at the cover of the game , then another 15-20 minutes where they read the back of the box to us.

Wow, seeing Dawn of Madness on your table brings home the point that the game will soon be on boards headed to backers after several years of waiting. For those who don't know, the game was funded and then they effectively scrapped what they had and redeveloped/designed the game and are finally sending wave 1.

Dawn of Madness is a November 2019 KS campaign that was supposed to deliver in October 2021. Just a wee-bit behind.

It's Dusk of madness by now...

I've been interested in Vampire Village since you showed it at Essen! Really curious how that one plays.

Looking forward to the Pokémon reviews of Splendor and Point salad! You are reviewing these, arn't you?

Your box for Redwood came in much better shape then mine. Luckily all that bubblewrap worked because the game itself survived.

So I guess you could say... you got Wonderland's warchest

I'd love to see more "actual" unboxing, where you actually open the game up. And actually finding out ways to store them back in the box (sleeved cards or with expansions) is also a part of the hobby I really enjoy.

Dice Tower runs a whole separate channel for that. Or they used to, anyway. I've never looked at it, but I remember them talking about it.

Omg Dawn of Madness is actually real?? Thoight this day would never come

Does the Dice Tower library loan out board games?

It does, at their conventions

Whenever I watch these unboxing videos and see how many games they get every week, a lot of them garbage, I always think that if you have a game design, even if everyone tells you it's no good, you should start showing it to publishers. Eventually, odds are, you will get it published. This seems to be the golden age of get anything and everything published!

Divinus is an instant toss for me. I'm already over the trend of tabletop games needing apps to play and i hope this isn't a trend that continues. Supplimentary to whats there is fine, but when the apps required to play I'm out. What happens when they don't update the app and is no longer compatible with phones etc? If there is an online element to it and the server get shut down etc. If i wanna play a video game I'll load up one.

And for every person who thinks like you, there's one who really enjoys the Lucky Duck app driven games, all of which are still playable.
@moosescorner9 ай бұрын
@@ScytheNoire see how that holds in the future as companies don't feel the need to update, that they'd rather get money from new games rather than maintaining apps for older games. To each their own, but I've no interest if an app is required to play
@adwilliams19879 ай бұрын
@moosescorner I typically agree, but that box says Legacy. Legacy is like the best case scenario for an app game because it has no longevity anyway.
@moosescorner9 ай бұрын
@@adwilliams1987 while i can agree since its a legacy game obviously after one play its basically trash depending, but what if you buy and then don't end up with a chance to play for say 5 years even and then go oh yeah!? and then find the app is dead. Now like i got Agemonia, and while its got an app, its not required to play the campaign, but its got narratives and tracking abilities to make it easier, that i like
