I have just 1 proton pack also. Pretty much impossible to find them loose without the figures. I would make some too if i had the skills and tools you do. Another great video!

Your intros are incredible! It would be awesome just to see an episode of your toys in motion like that, interacting with the vehicles and Firehouse. The packs came out great - funny how in the commercial they switched up the stream colors for the main characters and no Winston!?

Tom, Your garage is absolutely awesome. My 6 year old grandson asked Santa for the vintage Ghostbusters firehouse. Santa looked so hard and he found one. He also found almost all of the original characters, ghosts, cars... but your glowing Ghostbusters takes the cake. My grandson has been following your garage posts but he has no way of subscribing since he's only six and doesn't have a computer of his own. So I am subscribing for him. I hope you reach your followers. And I hope he wins the Peter Vankman ghost form. Nicky is a believer. ❤️

I wish I still had all my ghostbuster stuff from when I was a kid. I had the firehouse and everything. In fact my father fought through a crazy black Friday evening to get the very last firehouse in all of Pennsylvania at the time. He still to this day tells me how people back then were offering him close a thousand dollars on top of the regular cost which equated to like 10x the price back then.

It’s amazing that you’re the first person to do reproduction accessories for the real ghostbusters. Since the only “repro” things made prior were just stickers. Btw, I want to see you remake the accessories from the other figure lines. 😄

This was an awesome video and wonderful resin replica of the Kenner Proton Pack! However, I would love some more details about your molding process and resin in a similar future video! Cheers man :)

I have an entire movie set of Ghostbusters gear (minus the actual pack which is showing up in 2023 cause I got the Haslabs pack to go with their neutrona wand) but I also just commissioned someone to build me a full sized working set of RGB equipment including the Trap, P.K.E meter, Ecto goggles, of course the pack and wand and everything else. I'm also designing both versions of the containment unit for my garage, but I can't start the build till I have the equipment sizes so that I can make sure everything fits and works properly. My containment units are gonna cover my electrical panel for the movie version amd my water heater area for the RGB version. I plan on using them for Halloween and parties etc

I didnt reproduce the bodys ..only the doors and fins But I did do a 2 part mold for those
@gnj85414 жыл бұрын
Tom's Geeky Garage ok all good then thank you anyways for your help 👍
@tomsgeekygarage20664 жыл бұрын
You could do a 2 part mold for the bodys.. you would have to make a silicone mold with a mother jacket of fiberglass or something similar.
@InvincibleVIP7 жыл бұрын
how sturdy are the ones you made compared to the originals? I remember mine breaking if you dont handle them with super care.
@antoniogau95433 жыл бұрын
sorry I bought the liquid silicone to make the shape and the resin to create the mold. I don't understand what it is for and what that brown thing you use is. Can I also use Pose in its place? it only serves to hold the mold in place
@tomsgeekygarage20663 жыл бұрын
To start , the silicone is for the mold and the resin is for the part .. the brown stuff is Monster makers clay to make the dividers.
@antoniogau95433 жыл бұрын
but the clay is only used to hold the mold in place? you pour the silicone into the clay to make the shape of the mold but make the back of the backpack in the video, but then you have to do the same again to make the front of the backpack. Then you put them on top of each other and fill with the syringe. then the flow how did you do? ie clay just to hold the piece in place?
@tomsgeekygarage20663 жыл бұрын
@@antoniogau9543 when you make the first half , you use the clay to make the divider and retaining walls .. after that sets you removed all the clay and use it to make retaining walls only for the back of the mold . And remember to use a separator spray or vaseline between the two side or it will become one and you'll have to cut it apart .
