The production companies making soap operas today are not doing so to add anything nice or of value to our society...they, like every other aspect of media and other institutions, are actively trying to demoralise the nation, thus seeing happy, normal families is not something they are capable of doing. They pretend like the audience wants this, but we don't. Personally, I watch soaps with a critical and analytical eye...not because I enjoy them, but because I am observing them and taking note of every storyline that they are actively using against British people. Seem a bit over the top? Maybe...but it's what's happening. I do not think there is a single person who watches soap operas and feels positive energy as a result

Tom is an absolute asshole but he does have one point; the Dingles completely steam rolled their wedding. Like they do with everything; they take over and do it their way and to hell with everything else. It's impossible to miss so I also get why he's annoyed by Belle's "I don't know what you mean". Is it her fault her family is like this? No. But it wouldn't have been much to ask of her to have a talk with them about this being their wedding and not another Dingle party. Instead she seem completely unbothered by the fact they ruined yet another wedding.

@@tylerhopzz he's very controlling and seems hell bent on picking fights, I am not arguing that. He's been a tool since before and after the wedding I also see him becoming increasingly abusive towards Belle and I am certainly not defending that. I am just saying on this one single issue I understand his frustrations. And while I agree he should have taken it up with the Dingles as it happen I can also see why he didn't. 1. The wedding is already a mess so why make it worse turning it into a shouting match and 2. When gave the Dingles ever reacted well to critique? I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to confront all of them at once when they are already pissed and Jimmy as my only back up. He could or rather should've spoken to them after and explained why he didn't appreciate them acting like fools and turning his wedding into a hillbilly bust up instead off exploding on Belle.... but I can't honestly say I think he was that out of line either even if he lost his cool big time. Belle's denial about and defending of her family's behaviour is infuriating. But that is also the one gripe I have with Belle, regarding everythimg outside of that one argument I am on her side.

My father beat my Mum up on the wedding day. My Mum married him because she was pregnant with me. I wish she never married him. I wish they divorced the next day. 2 agonising years followed for my Mother before they divorced. My Mum's mental health has been affected, which then I suffered growing up.
