Tom Snyder Interviews Joey The Hitman on TV! Joey The Hitman appeared on TV with Tom Snyder on Tomorrow with Tom Snyder back in 1975. Joey appeared wearing a mask. Joey was the author-along with David Fisher- of two books, “Killer-The Autobiography A Mafia Hitman” and “Hit 29”. This is one of my favorite Tomorrow show episodes. Joey’s real name ws Max Kurschner. He was killed in 1982 by a shotgun blast from behind while walking to his car in a parking lot in San Mateo, CA.

This is a real gem… Anyone who’s a fan of Max’s first interview would agree! Thank you! I was fortunate enough to visit Bay Meadows many times before they shut it down… miss those hot dog and beer specials lol That was the racetrack he was frequenting and close to when he got “knocked down”.

@@TomChasukno… the only way he can be recognized here is by his voice. 98% of people won’t know exactly who he is. But if one of my people were on the tv disguised not disguising his voice I’d know exactly who it was… from his first interview SOMEONE knew exactly who he was.
