We all know he’s a rat. Guys comment still stands. Serial killer numbers and bro is out here being featured on big KZbin channels. Guess the moral of the story is if you’re on your way to be a serial killer, beat hundreds of people, deal tons of drugs, just join a gang and don’t lead it so you can rat on some of the higher ups and do virtually no time and get features on KZbin channels, book deals etc. BTK? Scrub had no one to rat on..

I love when a natural story teller is interviewed. Sometimes, Mark will ask one question and an uninterrupted retelling of a life follows. I so quickly became mesmerized in this tale of the streets, that I cannot even remember if an opening question was presented. This is a beautiful thing. Thank you, Mark and John, for sharing.

I just finished watching a documentary by a famous British historian about how people could possibly have been caught up in the Nazi regime. The documentary seemed relevant to this. This historian pointed out that each and every one of us likes to imagine that if we had been present at some dark moment in history, we would have been the ones to stand up, think independently and rebel. And yet, almost no one (if anyone at all) did this at these times. If you have grown up with everyone around you--parents, mentors, peers, teachers, leaders--all thinking one way, it takes a very rare individual to have a conscience of his own. It seems that in a very significant way, we are all defined by the circumstances into which we are born. Whatever your folks tell you and raise you to think, that is what you will be for the rest of your life. Unless you are one out of a million. From what this guy says, it is no surprise at all that he became what he became. We can never excuse terrible crimes, but we can try to understand them.

How intriguing. I’ve listened to this man plenty of times. I read his book. He has a few but I’ve read the first one. One thing he touches on that no gangster has before. Is the mental state your left with after the life you lived took its course. He brings to light the fact even if you survive all that treacherous life. And live to be considered as old in society. You e still plagued with ptsd. He’s right. Very right ! Ty for this interview very important to hear. Others think you live out your life and bc your breathing and out of jail you automatically a winner. But your not. Your mental state has to pay. I keep wondering why quality of life doesn´t factor in how these mob figures saw themselves as long as they were active criminals. Because what are the chances? You´ll get killed or seriously hurt, spend a sizeable part of your life in jail, have to constantly look over your shoulder, can´t trust anyone, are constantly on the run, etc... etc.... Very few mobsters managed to get old without this happening to them. And you know there´s no way out, because even if you quit on good terms there´ll be a contract on you regardless, because a quitter may cooperate with the FBI at some point. Like Joseph Pistone wrote: The mob is driven by greed, and controlled by fear. Must be a miserable life, yet apparently this life still keeps sucking people in and I´m quite puzzled by this fact.

Very interesting life story, kind of fascinating. I was a military conscript right out of high school, during the ramp up of the Angolan Border War in the mid 1970's, spent the next ten years doing annual deployments, PTSD didn't exist in the common terminology, we had to deal with it on our own, still dealing after all these years. I commend Mr. Alite for coming to terms with his past and making amends for himself and others.Thank You.

I appreciate John telling his story as a cautionary tale, but it frightens me how many people will laud the likes of him, Mike Dowd etc as if they're heroes when in fact they inflicted pain and suffering on countless people and arguably have inflicted a net negative upon the world. People like this are extremely charismatic and its easy to look at them as sort of antiheroes - flawed characters who are ultimately good people - but despite years in prison and a desire for redemption, you can't just ignore all the bad they have done throughout their lives. An awareness of one's misdeeds does not behove society to forgive them. In my opinion, these are not people to respect or look up to, but nonetheless I value the stories being told.

@Tarziu Armando-Liviu You have pointed out the only true cure for sin sickness, and that is Jesus Christ. This guy in the interview seems like he's trying to forgive himself and going to therapy for day's on end to find peace but that's the attitude that only makes therapists rich and really provides no true lasting peace. A killer has to confess to God that he realizes he's a killer, and God will forgive a killer, but killing is the one sin that has to be confessed before men also. Because in God's word he says, "He who sheds man's blood, by man must his blood be shed." A life has to be paid for by a life. Not as in an eye for an eye vengeance thing, but this guy sent unrepentant sinners to hell before their time and robbed them of the grace and mercy and forgiveness he now seeks. So a repentant killer has to put himself into the hands of unjust men because it is the right thing to do to complete his life's penance for his actions. And if he is TRULY repentant he would do this gladly. All sins are frankly forgiven but the sin of murder has to be paid for with a life. The life of the murderer.

This channel is pretty amazing. I had the same exact issues with sleep because of my old lifestyle. I am from Medellin Colombia. Grew up in U.S. during the 80’s. Was also heavily involved in organized crime. I was a guest at Roberto Escobars ranch in 2019 - and not as a tourist. I had high levels of PTSD, insomnia and panic attacks. These were and are symptoms of freely practicing sin I had a real experience with God that changed my life. I had just gotten back from a trip to Medellin and someone invited me to church. I was definitely not the religious type. A man I had never met before and being filled with The Holy Spirit told me everything I was doing and what was going to happen if I didn’t stop and everything he told me happened the very next day. He had the Spiritual gift of prophecy described in the 1 book of Corinthians chapter 14. In my ignorance, I thought I was making a “deal” with God, I told Him if He spared me from prison “I was looking at 30-35yrs”, if He provided for me, I would NEVER take another penny from the street and He has definitely provided for me and I NEVER took another illegal penny. I went straight. As a matter of fact, I had outstanding debts on the street “big ones that people owed to me” and I told my old workers to keep it, I didn’t want that money. I Had to start from scratch but I was sooooo happy doing it. Felt great when I earned my first honest paycheck. Now, I’m doing better than I ever did back then and not only materially/economically but internally. I have peace in my heart and sleep like a baby. Before, I had insomnia and panic attacks “because of my lifestyle”. Sin is a lifestyle. Just because someone isn’t killing, robbing or a criminal doesn’t mean the heart is pure. Hidden sin in our hearts “lust, envy, jealousy, greed, anger, un forgivenesses, hate, lying, pornography” and so many others are the hidden sins which, if left unchecked, manifest into other illnesses in our minds, emotions and bodies. He took away from me the materialism that consumes so many. He polished my heart and gave it ALL back and even more. He gave me a beautiful wife “who met me when i didn’t have anything”. She’s a former beauty queen from Colombia who loves God too. I have an AMAZING life that i am eternally grateful for. I never once wavered from my faith or went back to the old business, quit reading i”Bible”, quit praying or going to church etc etc. I had temptations and very big offers to go back and joyfully turned them all down. I’ve had many difficult trials that He speaks to me about “through the gift of prophecy” and He has brought me through to victory in each and every single one of them. This makes me so happy just talking about it ! Glory to God ! He is so beautiful and faithful. Merciful and wise. God is love. Slow to anger and His mercy is great towards those who fear Him and what does it mean to fear Him ? TO NOT FREELY PRACTICE SIN, this is to fear God and love Him. I try my best to do my part to bear fruits “worthy of repentance” and He helps me and will help ANYONE who is sincere. Now to be clear, it doesn’t mean I am perfect. He has been and is verrrrrrry patient with me. Took me a while to let go of certain things like “lust. I was very very impatient and an imprudent man and would say whatever I wanted to whoever i wanted and this is foolishness”. Sorry to type so much. Cheers

in one sentence, dude says his father had him and came over from albania, ( or came then had him, not clear)....then in the next sentence says his dad grew up in the streets of manhattan. Either way, Mark has just let this channel turn into a platform for bullshit artists to target and come on, especially now that its grown and all these ppl are aware of it. And he doesnt give af, its content for him. Majority of these interviews now, especially ones with ppl like this that claim some tabop "role" or however you wanna categorize it, are bullshit.

Fascinating. I rented a room from a man in Durango CO many years ago. He was a Denver hit man decades before I knew him. We drank together. He would get drunk and the guilt and remorse would take over and he talked. I had my own problems and had to leave there. I wish I could see him again. I’m sure he’s deceased by now.

They don’t understand. I was trained for this since 3 years old. I was trained to be a ball player. I was trained to be a killer. The other people they think they are a killer but they’re not. My father trained me for this from three years old he said you’re a killer. He trained me to be a ball player I had a scholarship. What they didn’t know was he trained me to be a killer from three years old. I was doing push-ups in the basement. 5 push-ups at three years old. 25 push-ups at five years old. Then I was three years old again and I was trained to be a killer.
