One thing I've learnt is that even if you arent a great 1 on 1 defender naturally, if you try on defense and play team defense and play help defense and if everyone on the team buys in, you can help hide your weakest defenders. We saw it with Curry and you see it with say Bogdonavic. Dude was a liability on defense when he came the Knciks and I thought he was headed for the doghouse. But he has put the work in and bought into Thibs system. Fournier never figured this out.

Knicks outrebounded the 76ers by a VERY wide margin. They also shot lights out from 3 and defended very well. We know they can defend and rebound, but that 3 ball is the key to them winning this series. If they keep it up, I see Knicks winning in 5 games.

Life long Knicks fan since the early 90s, the team we have now is the best squad we have had since the 90s. This is what Knicks basketball should be, hard nose defense and scrappy players fighting over every possession. Just like the Ewing/Starks Knicks we had pretty much one star player but we scratched and clawed our way to the finals. Didn’t win a championship of course but NY loved that team for leaving it all out on the floor every game and that’s how we feel about this team. The 2013 Knicks played such lackluster defense and the only thing that kept us a float was Melo shooting lights out but that’s not enough to win it all. I want the Knicks to go to the finals and win it all but we fans are happy to see our team being relevant again. Let’s! Go! Knicks!

Lmao nonsense. There is no mediocre talent on the Knicks. Brunson and Randle are legit superstars. The role players are very solid and efficient and play great defense. I don’t know where you’re getting “mediocre” from.
@Corso1176 ай бұрын
I think if he didn't win the award recently that he'd be in serious contention again. So many people were saying that the Knicks would finish 4-6 seed in the East at best. For the Knicks to get the 2 seed after losing 3 starters (one of them being a bonafide all-star) for like 30 games, trading away 2 of your key young players, bringing in like 3 new players and have them seamlessly become key pieces of the team is incredible. Oh and they got to 50 wins. Like look at all the players who had career years this season: DiVincenzo, Achiuwa, McBride, Hartenstein, etc. This team just smashed every regular season expectation that people had of them.
