The rest of it, spelling and syntax is perfect, and the use of the "how on earth" cliche obviously indicates a native English speaker. No punctuation, but that's about par for youtube. Strange, but Tom gets along well with Jimmy. They like each other, even though many of the comments here are not too favourable to Fallon. Tom is not an easy interview and if he doesn't like you you're doomed. His answers in other interviews often don't make any sense (on purpose), but Jimmy's lucky that Tom likes him.

Fallon is a hilarious comic, and he's a pretty decent rhythm guitarist--did any of you catch his ingenious use of David Bowie's "Space Oddity," (he also did one to "Ziggy Stardust") to poke fun at football player Tim Tebow? If not, it's really funny. I don't think its bad that he's excited to meet Tom Waits! Hell, I'd be excited too! I would ask him some relevant questions & not just kiss his ass, though. Still, Fallon's not so bad; I LMAO @ the "Tebowie" skits. "Tebow played foot-balllhal!"

Update the concensis. Since day 1 Fallon has gushed over every guest he has had on the show. How he has a loyal audience is just an indictment on what today, is accepted as funny, thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere entertainment. Johnny, Cavet, Letterman...even Leno probably thought they left the future of late night in good hands. If so, they would be wrong. Fallon fails miserably. I'm embarrassed for him.
