I was born in 88, and raised on Tom Waits. Swordfish Trombones was one of the first CDs I ever owned, and I own a vinyl first pressing of Rain Dogs, which is not a cheap album to own. I have been aware of the man's sheer brilliance as a true artist, showman, comedian, and wonderful human being, since before I can remember. Tom Waits is my spirit animal... Tom Waits, hallowed be thy name...

For those who aren't, apparently, Tom Waits style and mannerisms in this particular interview were an inspiration for Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker. Here's a link if you want to check it out.
