I bought this album in 1976. I was all of eighteen. I’m sixty-four now and I keep coming back because the music never left me.

What's masterful about this song is how it gives you something familiar and something new at the same time.

Ik kocht deze album in 1976 en stond in de uitverkoop. Toen ik deze plaat beluisterde was ik helemaal verkocht,,,,,een meesterwerk en dacht : deze jongen is een talent en zijn tijd komt nog.....en ja hoor.......

I always said that if I ever won the Lottery I'd fly him out to the UK to play to just my selected special friends in my favourite bar in Leicester. I even posted it through his agent, it would have been around £200,000 but I know it would be the best money I ever spent.......guess it's too late now ❤

Tom Waits is the king of "scat". He doesn't get the credit he deserves. My first album i bought of his music was "Small Change". I have all his albums now. He's a genius with his words!! He's a good actor as well.

My oldest brother hooked me up with this Album back in the late 70s. It was beyond my music interests, but DAMN....I loved it. I was a Beatle/Dylan/Stones/Lennon fan.... but Tom Waits certainty caught my ear! Great stuff!

Saw an interview years ago when he got some recognition. He was bent over looking at the floor and played the interviewer brilliantly. Owned the guy and showed his intellect before giving forth his craft on the piano. Been a fan ever since. Told my baby brother about him. He's a fan and so is my son. We serenade each other then crack up! Thank you Mr. Waits.

I think the warm beer vs cold beer is relavant to bees and your attitude about hives. I'll take the cold as negative.
