Erica Durance was just amazing in Smallville!! Her take on Lois as sassy, tough, brave and kickass was perfect!! Nor to mention that she was gorgeous and has such a wonderful personality!! Her chemistry with Tom was immediate, they just are wonderful with their romantic banter!! She was such a positive addition to the show!!

Tough call there, I'd put Amy Adams just ahead, and Elizabeth Tulloch and Margot Kidder just behind, though Kidder was limitied by how film dealt with strong female characters at the time. And everyone so far ahead of Teri Hatcher that it's embarrasing how bad her Lois was.

In all honesty Erica has been the best portrayed Lois Lane to date. She literally was the perfect combination of Margot and Teri, but with her own style, and when her and Tom were together, it was pure magic. Unmatched chemistry. It looked so easy and legit for them to be Lois and Clark. I'm watching season 9 right now and I just wish they had had, and were currently having, more and more screen time together. If they had had their own subsequent series, GAH, it would've been amazing!

I always got a good vibe from Erica on the show; she was perfect IMHO for the role of Lois Lane. Loved the way she performed as that character & she & the show did a nice job of displaying how smart she was, mischievous she was and of course beautiful too - all in a very classy way that was good for the story. They showed human sides of vulnerability as well sometimes - I always rooted for her. Great job.

The only version of lane that's a match or better is the Lois lane of DC comics 1990s the books that lead to the world shocking and blockbuster in sales brutal fight and death of superman comic(wow this event even made cnn news and all the channels), his return that lead to Clark finally marrying Lois. Erica is that good.😊

Thanks for doing the podcast that focuses on Smallville. I loved this show when it came out and occasionally I go back and watch the series. I have watched to whole series about three times now. I have started watching it again. I grew up with the Christopher Reeves Superman. Being a comic book geek, My favorite Lex is Michael, My favorite Superman is Tom, and my favorite Lois is Erica. They felt more real to me as a comic book geek with a ton of Superman comics I can tell you guys were great!

I know there's a lot of #Smallville Fans who didn't like the introduction of #LoisLane in season 4 and before #ClarkKent got his job at The Daily Planet, that's fine as that's your opinion, but for me I liked that they introduced Lois Lane in season four as she really spiced things up for the show with her high energy and attitude, plus the #Superman universe is fictional so the writers can put her in whenever they want, plus #EricaDurance was awesome as Lois Lane and the chemistry she had with #TomWelling for #Clois was amazing as well and this is one of many reasons why Tom and Erica are my most favourite Clark and Lois pairing apart from #ChristopherReeve and #MargotKidder who are my og Clark and Lois pairing, yeah people say that Clark and Lois were poorly written, were forced and had no chemistry in the show but in my opinion I think the writing for Clark and Lois was pretty good, I never felt they were forced at all and they had great chemistry together as well. 🔴🔵👍🏻 #CloisForever #CloisFan #TeamClois

As someone who grew up with Superheroes I found it hard to find one that really fit as easily as these two, they clicked for many of us. She’s my favorite verison of Lois lane in my thoughts when she’s got into season 4 I was like ok I have feeling she’s gonna be same Lois from any other Lois in other lores of Superman but when I saw her and kept watching the show I was like ok she’s literally different now and fun Lois I wanted more lois like Erica did it but nobody can be better Lois then Erica was in this show and that’s saying something lol. Really enjoyed ERICA'S portrayal of lois lane. SUPERMAN needs his LOIS LANE just like LOIS LANE needs her SUPERMAN to work. Together, they are a dynamic duo. Lois LANE biggest challenge isn't always being married to Superman. It should be who's working in those NEWSROOM. Wish there was a more diverse RANGE of stories of what goes on at the DAILY PLANET. What do people want to see on the news. Or read in the paper. Why do you watch the news ? WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE NEWS ? What if the biggest VILLIAN Lois LANE had to face wasn't LEX LUTHOR. It was someone who didn't RESPECT women in the newsroom. This is a man's world not a woman's. Now that's a big challenge.
