These "Smallville" guys really do have a strong bond, don't they? I was never able to finish the series. I graduated college right around when Lex and Lana was playing out, got wrapped uo in work, and never revisited. I wonder how they feel about the Arrowverse? And I cant help but wonder if Stephen and Grant were close like that?

There isn't a single CW show that ran for 20+ episodes with good writing throughout. They're trying to stretch 6-8 hours of meaningful plot across 20 hours of television.

Michael Ironside was a method actor. And a great actor. Especially when it came to great movies like top gun, total recall, starship troopers, nobody, Highlander 2, extreme prejudice, etc. When it came to working with a director like Paul Verhoeven on total recall and starship troopers, he was just as good as any other actor who worked with Paul Verhoeven, like Peter Weller, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the late Rutger Hauer, Michael Douglas, Clancy Brown, Josh Brolin and Kevin bacon.

Kristin is amazing and she was a great Lana, but I felt the writers didn't know what they were doing with her character at all. I'd say evidence of this is them pretty randomly bringing her back and giving her the kryptonite powered nano-suit that would kill Clark if she was near him, to finally established the tragic love between the two of them, which the writers just totally failed at doing up until that point.
