Hello my friends. This was a strange one, starting shortly after the failed attempt on Donald Trump's life. As this truly unique, historic, and utterly bizarre election continues taking shape, I am going to continue to do my best to approach the issues facing us as parents and Americans with a minimum of hyperbole (though not zero, because I AM a little bombastic. I know that.) and a focus on the ideas below the surface, rather than party politics. If you're interested in that kind of discourse, you're in the right place, and I hope you stick around and hold me accountable in the comments.

The abortion thing throws me off. Because there’s a deeper reality, only the individual is going to pay the direct price doing it or not doing it. Is impossible by human nature to suffer others people’s psychological experience day to day. So human liberty is that, one can persuade others but not forcing your beliefs and what would you do to others. A baby is just a human being stage. And we live the vast majority of our biological experience as adults. All this morality talk never translates into action to those kids who no one wanted and develop mental health problems when if foster care. So by definition if one is for true human liberty, a personal moral issue like abortion, the state has no rights to make it illegal

I came to America in 1963 when I was 13. We came from a wee tiny island in Shetland, Scotland. We went from an island so small that I knew EVERYONE, to Detroit, Michigan. Five years later I was in Vietnam becoming an American Citizen. I HATED BEING IN THE MILITARY, but I believe that time in the military was more educational than all the time I spent in the pursuit of my PhD's. BY FAR that experience reveled to me who people actually are. Humans are the only ANIMAL I really don't trust or like, actually. We lived in Detroit for almost a year. My parents found an abandon small farm that hadn't been lived in nor worked for over 25 years; there were more glass in the barn windows that in the house -- my siblings and I learned how to glaze a window, and SO MUCH MORE! We didn't live on a farm at home/Home because the island had no trees and being so small there wasn't a place that wasn't splashed with ocean, and a very strong wind almost constantly. If anything you were wanting to grow was not pollinated by the wind it didn't grow; no bees and such like. Often times were spent alone as kids on that farm. My Mum and Da both had to work outside the wee 15 acre subsistence farm. Some or MOST of the things you did on a farm would now be seen as ridiculously DANGEROUS. My parents would have been in prison if then were now. But then America was America. It is not that anymore. In rural areas just about every truck had a gun rack in the back window burdened with shotguns -- mostly -- and a fishing rod or two. Not only were the houses left unlocked, so were the cars and trucks, with guns in the window, but I never heard of a gun being stolen nor a car jacked. Not even in Detroit! I didn't know a kid who had a key to their house. Detroit, where EVERY HOUSE had an easy access to anyone who wanted to do evil; there was a dairy Shute at the side of every house so the dairy man could put your milk, and creme, and cottage cheese, and regular cheese, if it was dairy it was in the Shute. Every father had been to WWII and/or Korea. Every father and mother were you're father and mother. What made that time so SPECIAL, and compared to our time now was, EVERYONE was GLAD TO BE HERE! On our island every kid learned the Pledge of Allegiance, so we would be ready to show our new country that we were with them. I went into the military and then to Vietnam not because I wanted to BUT because it WAS MY DUTY! We here then shared the same ethos. I could go on but I think, would hope the reader understands what I am saying. But one final thought: IGNORANCE is NOT not knowing or not understanding. IGNORANCE IS THE WILLFUL DISREGUARD TO CONSIDER! And THAT is the wedge between logic and hate. I MISS BOTH OF MY COUNTRIES. I WANT THEM BACK!

Loved Tom’s line about “the United States is much more than our government. It’s local baseball teams and Kiwanis clubs, etc.” I’m sure he was thinking of Rothbard’s line “we are not the government.” It’s true though. Our government might be corrupt and has grown to an unthinkable size and scale, but the people who really make America work are generally good, well meaning and hardworking.

😂😂😂 wow, this story seems to be the same time again. History is a broken record.. .. Hypothesis I think that they allowed the shooter to do something before they took him out on purpose Because trump wanted to destroy the deep state also his age is comparable to Biden and what if they may have taken advantage of an unforseen turn of events to restore some amount of legitimacy to the political theater as they took a hard blow over covid and secret docs and Bidens health deteriorating in front of the world So, possibly they flipped a coin and said to themselves the dollar was greener on both sides So maybe they may have basically ordered them not to fire on the suspect until he made the first move Also it's not a great headline for news or politics if it said that " That earlier today, secret service agents engaged and killed a 20 year old male suspect who had been identified to be carrying a weapon on the premises of the political rally ...." Instead seeing something That they could potentially use to lever new legislation on guns and implement more instruments to invade your privacy And also selling the drama Which would be the inflated story sung by mocking birds that you are currently sitting through No criticism on the video creators they seem pretty legit, just a thought I could be wrong, so I'm definitely open to other interpretations but it's gotta be reasonable, and it has to be politically bolstering Bolstering in the sense of prospect because no intelligence agencies are going to make themselves out to be frank or some sort of joke or fools because that's not effective at making the mark because they live rent free in your mind 🦄㊙️ And it's not about rule by law it should be rule by context... Context is all there is to understand and that is all there is to know beyond yourself and really we only ever understand and we never actually know what it is we only know how it works and know is to remember and to remember is to understand, and that is these feelings and expressions And gained experience with potential for change and thus to move forward to what must be done and when But violence should NEVER be the solution to any problem All people want is to feel like and know people understand how and why they are because they are weak in conscience and also they lack personal experience ie. They don't know who they are... because the world has damaged them Superimposed beliefs and values as well as stands and "norms" "Norm" is the chilling of personhood and only creates depraved people riddled with insecurities and self-denial, totally paralyzed, scared of making mistakes full anxiety depression confused about their role Dating based on attraction creating viscous shallow callous hollow and fake people

John Adams was so scared of the Jeffersonians and Hamiltonians destroying his reputation through pamphlets anonymously or not, that he wanted to write his own autobiography due to the fear of the the lies and propaganda and strawmans that they would tell about him to justify their views. Source: His own letters and Friends Divided: Adams and Jefferson by Gordon S. Wood. Chapters 6-8 "What shall we say? The editors of newspapers have no check and yet have power to make and unmake characters at their will, to create or unmake the constitution, to erect and demolish administrations - When a few scribblers, all foreigners, whose origins history and characters nobody knows, have more influence than president, the senate, the people's own representatives, and all the judges of the land." - John Adams to a Dutch intellectual of a early criticism of the media and tabloid newspapers/yellow journalism

I’m Pro-Life, but it’s not black and white. The term “abortion” also refers to the medical procedure sometimes necessary after a miscarriage to clean out the dead tissue that could result in deadly sepsis. There is a dead fetus inside a living person that could cause death. This is why extremism to the abortion issue is so dangerous.
@DadSavesAmerica5 ай бұрын
Obviously in those cases, which don’t involve actively ending a life, or in the challenging but super-rare case of life threatening complications for the mother, it’s not the same kind of choice. Of course, assessing the threat to the mother is fraught. Doctors told my great grandmother to abort my father because she had been weakened by past pregnancies. A proud and stubborn Italian Catholic immigrant, she stormed out of the office and found new doctors. My dad, my son and I exist because of her courageous commitment to life instead of fear and they claims of “experts”.
@cindychurch3355 ай бұрын
@@DadSavesAmerica yes I agree. But an event is oftentimes “super rare” until it impacts us or a loved one. I don’t want an extreme viewpoint of abortion where it puts people in a box, rather than listening to the woman or physician. It’s a complicated issue for sure.

Hello, I come from the present to bring you my thoughts: The fact that an assassination attempt against any political candidate can be so easily dismissed just confirms to me how insincere and how hypocritical people are. If this had happened to Harris, for example, we would never hear the end of how it was "a threat to our democracy" and all of the legal measures (aka rights violations by the government) that would have to be a implemented to prevent such a thing from happening again. Assuming that the government is supposed to exist to equally protect people's rights, this dismissal tells me that the majority of people don't deserve a government at all, they deserve chaos and uncertainty and to be surrounded by conscienceless hypocrites with bad intent toward them because that is exactly who _they_ are. These people deserve no protection of their rights because they have no interest in protecting the rights of others in an honest way. The vast majority of people suck, not because I give a damn what happens to Trump any more than anyone else - I don't - but because the vast majority live on lies and pretense in order to take from others for their own benefit. They believe that wealth is not created but rather that it exists as a fixed size supply, and it shows. They are what Rothbard called "natural criminals."

41:17 ''...not perfect....''''; Created in the image of God, yet professing to lack a perfection inherent in your claim to the miracle of His creation. Is it possible that feigning humility is a tactic with intent to gain adherents? Saving America is a monumental task assigned only to those whose selection has the stamp of approval from The Most High. On the other hand, meekness embodies the gentleness of the strong, who exercise control over their strength. Expressing magnanimity with humility seems counter-intuitive, which is a machination of one saying, ''whatever it takes''. This is very post-modern and relativistic - messy methodology.
