Jingliu will, Jing Yuan will, Blade supposedly found a way..but DHIL is destined to forever walk with the sins of his past ....long after there will bo no one else to carry it with him. You could call it a loop because nothign greally changed for Dan, and as a result all we can expect is the same results....him being willing to commit gave sins just to stop death from taking everoyne that matters, besides him.

Most beautiful animation I've ever seen. I especially love the detail of the strings that bind the High Elder to every other one, showing how they have to live with not just their own memories, but the memories of their past lives. I feel bad for all the past Imbibitor Lunaes. The life of a High Elder is a tragic one.

I had so many damn feelings welling up but seeing Bailu at the end set off the tears - this horrific cycle isnt actually over, is it? Its just restarting with her now that Dan Heng is the first free member of his own reincarnation line And what a horrific cycle it is, you did such a fantastic job of showing the true tragedy of this system of reincarnating but never treating this one person as, well, a person in their own right at all let alone a new individual each time as their culture is supposed to 😭

I already sad thru the main quest, then IL quest teared me up, even when Jingliu's quest makes me cry inside, I guess all of them stuck in the past, balde only wished to die from his suffering, jingliu counting herself before she lose her mind, danheng tried to run but he's stuck by his own chain, any choice he could do his best is always turn bad on their own way each time, he felt guilty in all his sequences, even the sad jingyuan despite his carefree personality is broken at the time, he can't help his friends, he can't also abandoned xianzhou at the time, even when blade asked jingliu to kill himself, he's just standing there in silent, the inly thing he can't let go is his spear, which is made from yingxing, long when they're still the high cloud quintet, I know jingyuan longed the past but it can't since then....
