Personally, I would have the Futures go first so the track is complete premo (as Emig would say). The Barcia incident I knew was a racing incident from the get-go. Things like what happened to Jett is why I think the points structure of the Triple Crown needs to change to full points paid out! Tomac possibly committing to Outdoors seems like a real bombshell of news, but I hope the same thing doesn't happen again like last year. Keep 'em coming, Cooksey!

100% agree the 250 class doesn’t need to be split up. I get it, people want to give these riders who aren’t top 10-15 guys a chance to get in but that shouldn’t be what a pro class is. The main 250 class should be ALL of the top guys against eachother and then have the rest either do the futures or do something like arenacross does and have a “B” main for those who didn’t qualify.

He can’t and we all know it and Tomac knows it. Thats why he’s hesitant to go ahead and commit to it. Let’s be honest, he won 2 straight up of that triple crown and probably would have only won 1 if it hadn’t been for the Red Cross flag bullshit in race 2 and barcia going kamikaze mode on the opening lap into Jett race 3, but yes Tomac won. And I’m sure Tomac will win a few motos outdoors if he races outdoors. It’s unlikely Jett will go another season perfect, with no mistakes, but I don’t see Tomac beating Jett straight up if they both start up near the front but some days something just clicks for riders, like deegan at washougal last year when he went beast mode and was even faster than Jett and 4 seconds faster than any other 250 guy at the end of the moto. But we all know Jett will win the majority of the motos and overalls as long as he’s healthy. Nobody has his outdoor speed.

Ehh they just need to not put them out there after 4 mains. They should have raced futures after the first 250 or 450 main on triple crown nights. That’ll be the most realistic track conditions and they wouldn’t even need to really do any work to the track at that point. It would be rutted and nowhere near perfect but it wouldn’t have been that bad. But I won’t disagree that they should prep it exactly like they would before a normal main. The track is still going to get broken down pretty much just like it would in the real 250 main because these futures riders aren’t that far off the pace of the pros

They want only 40 guys a class max for each class for the night show. The AMA doesn't want 400 card carring pros to race SX today. This is not the 80's when there was 900 card carring pros. They are in the entertainment business. Its not the same sport as it once was. Entertainment and selling bikes. Great athletes set into a pecking order. Jett was in the lead. In the old days the fellow in the lead has the right of way. Barcia is totally at fault. Maybe not intentional, but he was at fault. And it is his "style" and i totally disagree with Barcia saying its not his style. You buy your way into furures. Its who you know and who you blow. Its a big club and your not in it!

Absurd to say that was 70 percent Jett's fault and 30 percent Barcia's fault. Just because Barcia feels bad and is apologizing should NOT take away his responsibility for the crash. Barcia is always apologizing for the past 3 years for his Bonehead moves. Barcia has been doing this for over 10 years and it's the same story every time. He was 6 to 8 bike links behind Jett going into that corner. You are wrong on this one Cooksey. Imagine if it was Tomac that Barcia crashed into? Everyone would look at it completely different. Rider bias is a big factor in this situation.

Jett lost traction and spun him further inside than he expected that is why his leg was so far back. Barcia was taking the inside with Friese pressuring him further inside. Jett dove quickly inside for his reason..and Justin was Inside for his reason... they had no chance of avoiding a collision based on what both did...no intention from Barcia... as Most reasons guys bash happen earlier on and usually are mutual contact....or just not even planned...riding aggressive is RACING afterall.... 🇨🇦🤓🤟

Stop bringing up Barcias past. This incident was Saturday night, not 3 years ago. And him being 6-8 bikes behind Jett just makes it even more Jett’s fault that a guy that far behind was able to catch up to him and almost hit head on because Jett basically stopped in the entry of the berm after looking like he was going to take the outside line and cut straight down to the inside. Even Jett admitted it was mostly his fault for doing that, nobody expects a guy to do that shit, especially on the first damn lap

Ya I think your high to think Jett is the favorite outdoors if Eli races .. Jett’s only hope like last year is that other ppl aren’t prepared and he basically wholeshots every moto and that there’s zero pressure bc chase anyone at the top level doesn’t race the whole series.. nobody will ever convince me that Jett didn’t luck into that “perfect” season last year .. if Kenny showed up ready to go and chase and Dylan and ando and AP and coop and Eli there’s no way wholeshot every moto or not .. don’t get me wrong he was very fast and consistent and you can’t not respect the speed or his execution .. but as a dominant goat he hasn’t proved shit yet imo .. if anything the opposite.. the fact that Kenny off the couch almost beat him and chase would’ve beat him if he wasn’t being such a nice guy and just executed when he was faster just between those 2 the perfect season didn’t happen .. and with sx this year.. ya it’s kinda the same story, Ando apparently like Eli doesn’t have a good setup for these crazy soft tracks atleast not one that’s going to allow them to start tenth or worse when jett wholeshots and still catch the leaders .. sexton is just choking, webb I think is riding great for him but even so the way the tracks have been we’ve yet to see a ride where he’s got faster towards the end .. AP is riding great like sexton but just keeps chocking too .. Kenny is riding great but not consistent enough .. and with jcoop and Hunter and Mookie the tracks are slowed down and speed checked to death, it’s a perfect situation for Jett to win if he just starts out front .. so ya imo I definitely respect Jett but is he a Rv, ET3, JS7, or the king or the goat .. nah not even close .. hes in that category with coop dung and ando as of now and imo he still hasn’t had to race these guys with pressure for wins let alone for a title yet and that’s all these guys have to do to brake him, force him to push for long periods of time that and racing the kid hard especially off the start ..

Tomac was on Pulp MX on Monday and he was asked about whether he was going to at least race SOME outdoor races, and he "hym-hawed" around and said "maybe" and i was left feeling more like its doubtful, which is not the type of reaction i was hoping from him. We need Eli racing some outdoor races. The pulp guys, Nicoletti and Matthes gave 75-90% blame on Barcia which i was sort of shocked by. Nicoletti said that he always cuts the corners tight early in races, which maybe thats why he doesnt do better. @@bh.76 he apologized for hitting him so hard and he knew everyone was going to blame him whether it was his fault or not. The fact is, is that this WAS "JUST RACING." Both guys were being super aggressive in what they were trying to do, Barcia was coming in real hot partially, or maybe mostly to protect himself from Friese (if you watch, Friese was even further inside than JB51) and maybe to block pass Jett if Jett had taken a normal line in the corner. Jett was super aggressive in his "James Stewart bravado" by choosing to go anywhere he wants whenever he wants, when a seasoned pro sx rider, other than Phil Nicoletti, would have known not to cut down that tight that early in a race when there was a huge probability someone was behind them. @@dougdickason the reason he hit Jett was because he was going so hard . If he hadn't gone in that hot there would have been no T Bone.

@@bh.76 50% correct. If Jett hadnt cut that corner so tight he would not have been hit practically head on. Who has rose colored glasses? Like i said, they were BOTH being aggressive in what they were trying to do. If Barcia had squared Vince off, or had Jett followed Hunter, its likely nothing would have happened.

@@dougdickason Fair point. I don't think Bam Bam even makes the corner without contact..

"70% Jett's fault, 30% Barcia's fault". But, Barcia is the one making apologies. What's that very strongly suggest? The person at fault is typically the one to apologise, right? Quote Barcia - "I came in super hot". And that was an understatement. Anyone, and I mean anyone, that thinks that was in any way Jett's fault, knows nothing about actual racing. Barcia wasn't even there when Jett started to cut down. If Barcia hadn't of hit Jett, he would have ended up in the stands. "I came in super hot". Jett wasn't reckless, Barcia was. That shouldn't surprise anyone. The apology from Barcia is all the proof I need to dictate that I'm right. I can't believe you're blaming Jett for that Cooksey. I thought you had some Idea what you're talking about, but, obviously you don't. Your opinion is ridiculous. I'm not PC, but blaming the victim does kinda suck.

@@senkosirius9730 The difference between my take and yours is that I don't care who the characters are. Barcia was not in a race line. His speed and trajectory were going straight through and off the corner, he was going to hit someone or go off the corner.
