He said Rockwell, not rockal. The Rockscale scale describes how hard a material is by measuring how much of an hole is made by an indenter under a large load. The more you know~~

I write this fully understanding that you've probably long ago either forgotten about this or looked it up yourself; that said, here we go! Rockwell Hardness is determined by placing an object (such as a tomahawk or marshmallow) under a device called an indenter (just picture a fairly pointed metal spike) and then pressing on the object/material with a set PSI. The bigger the dent made, the softer it is and therefore a lower Rockwell rating. Marshmallow would have a score of zero, while the tomahawk is at a 57. **(If I remember correctly, 57 is actually fairly hard and as such will hold an edge very well but has a slight chance of eventually cracking. I believe rock hard is actually harder than 57 by a fair margin, and therefore would likely shatter very quickly.)** It's all more advanced than this, as there are several methods and machine types for determining this, but that's the gist of it.

The Waiting Flame I'm Just gonna Go ahead and say that a LOT of these will be Beyond their Capabilities or would take an insane amount of time to get done. For Example, Irelia's "Swords" Have no Handles and Float magically around an Orb. Crescent Rose is Part Sniper Rifle, Part Scythe (A Sniper Scythle, if you will) Sure, if you can get the Right mechanical/Engineering Dude in on it, Maybe. But a bunch of Blacksmiths? you're getting a Scythe. no Transformations. the Nemean Cestus from God of War 3? Imean, Sure, I bet they could Make it. But the Show Reel would be them Dropping it on Stuff. You could not lug those around as Weapons. they're Miniature Wrecking Balls. The Buster Sword was Boring because all they could do was Drop it on stuff. Because it's insanely Heavy. This is the Same Problem with Dragonslayer. There's several others, too. I also want to point out that a Lot of these will just look like Generic Swords. Especially stuff like "This dude's Katana" or "Kai Leng's Katana" or "Vibroblades from KoTOR"

Yeah, but that assasins creed styled axe does not have a splitting design. It looks like a hunters skinning axe to be honest. Yet Ilyas axe have more of a woodsplitting design, it's not optimal for that either. But a trowing test, edge test, killing test on one of those zombie go boom skulls would be great to see :D

It probably would have snapped along the weld eventually, so it would have been a better idea to keep it to a minimum. I love Men at Arms but frankly that thing is a wallhanger. Actually come to think of it making these geek weapons then putting them through hardcore stress tests vs "practical" designs would make a really fun show.

shudodevil10 The ac3 tomahawk isn't appropriate for anything. Tomahawks are light, but the ac one is too light and totally useless. Tomahawks have the handle come from the top down, not from the bottom up. They also have more or less straight handles.

It's so close! But Illya, as much as I love ya man, I think Matt's got ya beat! So much effort into that forged hammer to drop it off the base with a pre-made axe handle? No scruffiness or anything else to up the aesthetics? Such a small margin...but that AC3 axe looks so sweet and seems to be able to get in there and really get the job done at the end, just a little more so than the Patriot.

I think the traditional tomahawk won because i think it is beter forged and stronger, because the assasins creed tomahawk is all about looks if you ask me... The traditional is probably really useful in combat.

I am not sure who won. Personally I preferred the traditional tomahawk but I think I would prefer a regular spike on the tomahawk or a smaller secondary blade. I have concerns with a hollow blade and its long term durability
